Combine implants with a one sided lift to correct asymmetry

A larger implant on the small side and a lift with a small implant on the right side can give you a natural look and also correct the asymmetry. To assist in the planning and to give you an idea of what to expect, I would use Vectra 3D imaging to plan the procedure.

This would allow us to determine which size implants would provide the best correction as well as give you an idea of what the results may be. I hope this is helpful. Here is a link with more information about asymmetry and 3D imaging.

Massage Following Breast Augmentation

When a breast implant in Tucson AZ is placed, your body will naturally form a lining around the implant called a capsule. This capsule is a natural response of your body to the foreign object. It is probably your body’s way of separating itself from the foreign object.

Ideally, this capsule should be open enough to provide for movement of the implant. If this capsule should shrink in volume then it can restrict the movement of the implant leading to a more firm and less natural feel of the breast.

Breast massage after breast augmentation is intended to help keep this capsule open. Usually, massage can be begun three to four weeks after the procedure. It can be performed in the first three weeks if it is done very carefully.

Excessive movement or trauma to the breast in the first three weeks can cause postoperative bleeding. Each surgeon will have their own approach and opinion regarding postoperative massage. It is very important that you follow the direction of your surgeon.

Breast Implants vs Breast Lift

it does not appear that you would need breast implants in Tucson AZ in addition to a breast lift (Mastopexy). While implants are always an option to achieve whatever size you would like to be, you seem to have enough breast tissue to achieve the look you desire given the proper surgical technique.

Tear Drop Implants are Outstanding for Petite Women!

The anatomic or tear shaped implants in Tucson AZ are outstanding for women with very little breast tissue. Women who have a petite build often have very little breast structure and the anatomic shape implants give an outstanding natural look to the breast envelope that doesn’t have much definition.
Round implants can work extremely well, however there is a tendency to see or feel a wrinkle when a round implant patient is upright. This is especially true with saline implants in very thin women with small breasts.

Am I the right candidate for breast augmentation? I’m 23 years old, 5’6″, 120 lbs, with a breast size of a very small B

Judging by your photos you are the perfect candidate for a breast augmentation with silicone implants in Tucson AZ under the muscle. I would encourage you to have several consultations with board certified plastic surgeons in your area.

I would also encourage you to have the surgery with a conservative sized implant given the fact that you are petite. This will look better sooner after surgery and will look better for longer after surgery.
In the event you have the implants removed a conservative sized implant will cause less permanent change to the size and shape of your natural breast tissue. .

Breast Enhancement Options

Breast Enhancement options are bras or surgery. Creams and pills simply do not work. If you are araid of surgery because you are concerned about looking like you’ve had a “boob job” there are plastic surgeons who specialize is natural looking results.

If your concern is the breast implant, fat grafting is an option that can create a beautiful result for some women. Fat alone can only increase the breast 1-2 cup sizes. But, it can be an ideal option for some women.

Breast Implants can be done after Reduction Mammoplasty surgery

I have seen patients that have had reductions as a young adult return desiring an augmentation in Tucson AZ to provide fullness that was removed with the reduction or atrophied after having children or with weight loss. By far the best results are tear drop shaped implant.
These gummy bear implants in Tucson AZ are highly cohesive and provide the most upper pole fullness that remains stable and natural appearing. This allows one to wear clothes without feeling obvious or inhibited by implants. Check out Sientra shaped implants, they have a great warranty and can only be placed by plastic surgeons that are board certified.

It is difficult to estimate what cup size you will be after surgery. It is best to have your surgeon measure you and recommend an implant for your body. Then try this one and a couple other implants during your sizing to see which one gives you the shape that you desire.

Breast Implant Size to Achieve Medium C Cup?

Every patient is an individual and must be treated as such when being evaluated for breast augmentation. At your consultation the surgeon will measure your breasts and how they fit on the chest wall and recommend a few sizes for you depending on what look you are trying to achieve.

Then the two of you can decide on what is achievable. .

Breast implant size options

As you realize advice by mail is not as accurate as advice in person, however you gave some very useful information. As a tall woman going from a barely B to a medium C you will require more volume than the average 5′ 4″ woman.
Although I never promise a cup size, it does allow communicaton to understand how big you want to go. I like to know your nipple to inframammary fold distance as well as the BWD because it allows me to assess your skin envelope.

With your BWD of 14 cm, I would probably choose an implant with a base diameter approximately 13 cm so your breast drapes over the implant even if it is under the muscle. That leads me to the approximate size of a high profile 400 cc silicone implant or a moderate plus profile saline implant filled to approximately 400 cc.

Bra sizes will vary, a great result will look good in all clothing

You are tall compared to the “average” woman today. By US measurements the average woman is 5’4″, 154 pounds (and gaining), and wears a 36 C bra. Cup size determination can be elusive as bra fitters in our area tell me that most women wear the bra size that they think they are whether it truly fits or not.

The tendency is to under size. Also some retailers and manufacturers will target and size for a particular market and a D cup may represent the ‘average’ size. The size of the implant used depends on many factors which include your height and weight, amount of breast tissue, dimension and base diameter of the breast, and desired upper fill, projection and volume.
It is important to focus on how you wish to look after augmentation. Search for pictures which represent the look and fill that you are seeking and bring them along to your consultation. Also you may wish to experiment a bit and find a bra you really hope to wear.

Bring it home the test the feel with padding, or you can use the rice trick, dry rice in a zip lock bag, to conform over the breast and fill out the bra. Your surgeon may also find this exercise helpful to give you just the result that you hope for.

Length of breast implant incisions

Tucson breast augmentation scars depend on whether you are using saline implants or silicone. Since the saline implants are placed in the breast while deflated, the incision is shorter (approximately 3cm) while silicone implant scars are in the neighborhood of 5 cm.
Your scars should never be seen in a bathing suit. I prefer either the fold or the lower part of the areola. My patients choose!

Breast enlargement creams

There is no cream or supplement that will reliably and safely augment breast size. Surgical breast augmentation, with a silicone or saline implant, performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon, is by far the safest and most effective method available of enlarging breasts.

Creams that are supposed to enlarge the breasts don’t work (and that is probably a good thing)

Just because a cream is advertised on amazon.com does not mean it works. Breast creams do not work and if they did one would have to be very concerned about potential for breast cancer.
It is amazing to see such useless products advertised in the 21st century. Your breasts get bigger when you gain weight because the fat cells in your breasts get bigger – not because of any particular nutrients or lack of nutrients.

So be skeptical about such claims and if you want a breast augmentation, get implants. I have attached a link to my website in case you wish to read more.

Rippling with small implants

If the implants are placed under the muscle and are overinflated and are on the small side, they are less likely to ripple than a larger implant. A larger implant will thin out the overlying breast and muscle and the thinner layer will more likely have rippling show through.

Your best bet, however, for no rippling would be a gel implant.

You are a perfect candidate for a breast augmentation and your goals are realistic and attainable. I would advise consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss the different implant options available today that will suit you best.

Sizing breast implants should not be guess work. First of all, the patient needs to clearly describe what “look” they are hoping to achieve.

Each person starts with certain physical features that must be considered.

Their height, weight and volume of breast tissue are important. The diameter behind their breasts gives the surgeon the diameter of implants that would look good on that patient.

Implants that are too narrow look like tennis balls with a mile between them. Those that are too large look distorted and bizarre.

The profile of those implants will then determine how natural (moderate profile) or full (moderate plus profile) or buldgy (high profile) their result will be.

Some patients are built to look large quickly. They may have a thick pectoralis muscle or a short distance from the inframammary crease to the clavicle.

Others may need a bigger implant because they have a very hollow upper chest and a long distance from the collar bone to the crease.

Make sure you ses many photos from your potential surgeon to be sure the look his/her patients have is what you are hoping for yourself. (Richard P. Rand, MD, FACS, Seattle Plastic Surgeon)

Choosing the right breast implant size

Start by looking at your own chest shape in the mirror from front, side and 3/4 views. Take pictures, because you will be comparing them to what you find on the web.

Then scour the websites for preoperative pictures of other women that look like you. By that I mean both the chest cage and breast should be as close to yours as possible. See what their postoperative results are like and pick the ones you like. For the implants, you will need to consider size and shape. (Ricardo L. Rodriguez, MD, Baltimore Plastic Surgeon)

Avoiding the stripper look from Breast Implants

Some want this look and others want to steer very clear from it. There’s no magic formula but it sounds fairly simple enough to just not make you too big or too fake looking. The best way is for you to try on some implants in a bra and cover it up with a fitted shirt on over them.

This will give you a simple view of what you’ll be getting. Only you (and your friends) can decide what the stripper look is in your opinion. As long as you’re keeping your size to a reasonable, tasteful volume, you won’t have this problem. Bring a friend along to your consultation it’s tremendously useful to have a second pair of eyes making sure you don’t accidentally request stripper implants! Your plastic surgeon should also be very useful in coming to the conclusion of your selection. (Ricardo A. Meade, MD, Dallas Plastic Surgeon)

Breast implants – 6 key factors that should help you choose a size

The choice of implant size depends on multiple factors, including, amongst other factors:

  1. Current breast size and shape;
  2. Extent of ptosis (droopiness);
  3. Chest wall shape and more specifically the base width of the breast;
  4. Extent of enlargement that you are hoping to achieve;
  5. Type of implant being used (profile of implant, saline vs. silicone gel implants, shape of implant (round vs. contoured implants);
  6. Body habitus, such as height, waist and hip size.

I find that the wider one’s chest is, the larger the implant that would be tolerated. Also taller patients as well as those that have wider hips do better with larger implants.

The goal of the operation for most patients is not to look ‘top-heavy’, but rather for the implants to complement the rest of the body, so that if you wear a tight shirt or bathing suit, the operation will be evident, however if you choose to wear a loose shirt people may not know that you did anything.

I want my patients to have the option of showing their busts depending on their clothing choice. (Wilfred Brown, MD, New York Plastic Surgeon)

Gel implant ruptures

Silent ruptures with gel implants usualy refers to those that are difficult to detect by physical exam. Many ruptures can occur and still maintain relative shape because the body formed a capsule around the implants, and this has not ruptures.

Extracapsular ruptures are more likely diagnosed by phsycial exam because the breast shape is usually flatter than the intact side. Rupture risks are about a few percent a year for the first few years then it plateaus.
