Breast implants in Michigan alone will not and cannot lift your breasts. You are correct to think that implants will only pull/push your breast tissue even lower than what they are now making your current problem worse and more difficult to correct.

A good plastic surgeon will answer all of your questions before you ask any.

I make it my practice to explain everything before you ask any questions. Often my patients are nervous and forget to ask things, so I tell them what they need to know.

When you walk out, you should know what type of implants are the best for you, a size estimate, what the procedure entails, where the incision will be placed and what the possible complications and alternatives are.

Also you should know the costs and see photos of other patients you doctor has done.

Breast Implants Above or Below the Muscle?

You have enough breast tissue that if you choose a small implant, you could go above the muscle. I recommend a textured silicone breast implant in that situation.

To know what might be right for you, see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have breast implant surgery or a related procedure.

Breast surgery after Breastfeeding.

Six month after stopping breastfeeding, any woman can go for a Breast enhancement or boobjob in Michigan, but we prefer to wait if she is planning to have another baby in the next two years to perfomr a definitely job.

If we just place an implant in one side and don’t touch the other, the final result will be quite diferent, the side with the implant will look more rounded than the other, what I can recommend is to schedule an appoinment with an ASAPS member plastic surgeon to be sure of what will work better in your case.

Michigan Breast implants are safe in pregnancy

I tell my patient’s who plan to have their first child or more children in the future, that pregnancy and breast feeding is safe, but that the global aesthetics of the breast including, size, shape, and symmetry may be affected.

In my opinion, pregnacy accelerates the rate of desiring a revision for these aesthetics and not necessarily that they need a revision.
Implants usually don’t give much of a lift

The position of the nipple rarely changes with breast augmentation. What does happen is the loose skin may be stretched and filled in by the implant. The only way to lift the nipple is with a breast lift.

You may however get enough fullness with the augmentation that you will be happy with the nipple position. A lift can always be done later if needed.

Augmentation alone will not correct sagging breasts

Breast augmentation in your particular situation will not help in fact it will make the condition worse. Not only will you not get any lift from the implant you will have an unusual shape to the breast as well.

This is called a snoopy dog nose breast. The implant will be held in a high position and your breast will sag and droop off of the implant. Your best option is with a breast lift.

Removing saline implants

I usually have the patients also consent to having the capsule removed if no implant will be replaced, you will be saggy afterwards and a drain at the time of surgery is not a bad idea after the caspulectomy, but I see no reason to have you in the hospital for that procedure.

Should I decide what size implants or should doctor decide?

Neither you nor your plastic surgeon chooses implant size unilaterally. The decision is made after you communicate your desired outcome, and your surgeon communicates alternatives, risks, benefits, and possibilities, not just about implant size, but placement, content of implant, surface of implant, and surgical approaches.

The surgeon may agree with you, and use your chosen device for augmentation. Your surgeon may recommend what he/she believes is best for you, or may advise you against what you desire if in reality it may not be in your best interest.
You are free to listen and agree with the surgeon, follow his or her lead, or seek additional opinions elsewhere.

Ruptured Saline Implants

The saline will get reabsorbed into the body without any harmful effects. It isn’t necessary to rush and replace the implant right away unless you do not like how the breast looks. However, the longer you wait the greater chance for scar tissue developing which can make it more difficult to replace. Otherwise, the ruptured implant itself is harmless.

One can see the final settling after 30 days and can resume wearing underwire or no bra after 30 days.

Stop smoking before surgery, even breast augmantation

As you can see, smoking is a deal breaker for certain plastic surgical procedures (facelift, breast lift, tummy tuck, etc.) But even with breast augmentation, I have seen patients develop complications related directly to continued smoking that would not have occured in a non-smoker.
There is no absolute rule, but it is in your best interest to stop smoking at least two weeks beforehand.

The Peri-aeolar Incision

The periareolar incision can only be considered if that areola is big enough or the implant is small enough. Large cohesive implants are almost always better placed through and inframammary fold incision. On the other hand, saline implants can almost always be placed through the periareolar incision.

Capsular contracture is always a significant concern, and the risk of this may be higher when using the periareolar incision. This incision usually heals beautifully, but if you are unlucky enough to have excess scarring, you will be looking at that scar every day.

And inframammary fold scar is out of sight and usually forgotten, even without perfect healing.

Silicone breast implants for small breasted women

Its impossible to make implant sizing recommendations based on the limited information presented. Your tissues appear tight and you don’t appear to have a wide breast width – be careful about using large implants in Michigan. A good plastic surgeon can give you reasonable implant sizing recommendation based on the dimensions of your chest and your aesthetic goals.

Smoking and breast lifting

In my opinion, you should be at least one month free of ALL nicotine including patches, gum and second hand smoke. The risks of skin death are at least minimized by that period of waiting as has been shown by research studies.

The procedure is elective and not an emergency and you should do it when you are in as good shape for it as possible. I would personally cancel your surgery and reschedule it for later.
If the areoles are very dark, or have a small diameter, it may not be the right route for you. Your doc can help you decide. It’s a great operation.

Free breast implant sites.

I have had the opportunity to operate on women who have had the proceudure “funded”: through this source. The paitients run the spectrum of personalities and methods to achieve a comfort level with the process.

For example, one was very outgoing and very forthcoming. She even did a “promo” for another website which she landed through this channel. She was single and used many social networking sites to bring visitors to her web page.

Another patient was the “clean cut: type with a boyfriend who condoned the process and actually helped her compose answers and scenarios to enhance her response rate. Although they reported some unusual requests, neither regretted the decision and never, to my knowledge, had any problems with the entire process.
Uneven breasts

All woman have some element of asymmetry between their breasts. It can be something minor like a small volume discrepancy or slight difference in nipple position, or something more obvious like your clinical picture: more ptosis (sag) on the right, larger right breast, and higher/tighter breast crease on left.

Before you began, you should make sure that your expectations are realistic and that you will still have some element of asymmetry postoperatively. First you should decide what size you wish to be (see below for link to question/answer on choosing sizes).

In your case, you will need a larger implant on the left and a smaller one on the left. The implants will help to even out the sizes, give you more upper pole fullness, and help address the lower pole tightness.
Additionally, a small lift would be required on the right to improve the nipple position. Good luck and make sure you ask your board certified plastic surgeon all of your questions. Spend enough time sizing your implants so that you will not be unhappy postop.

Very early in the program.

You are a week out. I tell most of my patients that this is a four to six month program. Augmentations typically look great on the table. After surgery they rise upward, and are swollen, (and sometimes “goofy -looking”).

They will usually start to move downward at about the week three stage. Message, and/or a bandeau may help. Time is the main thing that you need here. Do tell your doctor your concerns.

Most doctors may make changes to size, but only giving time for the situation to settle and the tissues to become supple. Sometimes this can be a year after surgery. Remember each patient is different, and it is important that your doctor knows how you are feeling.

Bra questions

Wear comfortable bras. There is no research showing that uncomfortable bras work better. I would advise against underwire pushup bras as they rub on the wound.

Round vs. Teardrop Implants

This is a very controversial issue among plastic surgeons and patients. Round implants in Michigan are softer, and assume a teardrop shape when standing. Teardrop implants tend to feel firmer and impact the final shape of the breasts.

Currently among plastic surgeons, this controversy has led to new studies being performed. While I do often place teardrop implants, patients have to be aware the risks, such as rotation, and the extra firmness. Each patient needs to to evaluated for what type of implant is best for them.

Uneven breasts before. Would silicone or saline look better?

Without examining you I cant be entirely sure but in almost all cases the answer is silicone. The asymmetry of your breasts doesn’t really affect which type of implant you use, just the sizes and whether you need a lift on the left breast.

Although saline gives slightly more control over the exact volume of the implants in Michigan, silicone comes in such a wide range that the difference would not be noticeable postoperatively. The only way to know for sure is to book a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon near you.

Implant Size and Your Goals

I’d like to see what kind of breast you think looks pretty. We would do this by going over photos in my office of women who look like you. Next, it’s helpful to see how you feel about “trying on” breast implant sizers on in a fitted top.
Along with careful measurements, these can get us a good idea of where you want to go. See an experienced board certified plastic surgeon, and consider a few opinions. Surgeons use different approaches and different types of facilities to perform these procedures.

Ideal breast surgery for you

The ideal breast surgery for you is a breast lift and implant augmentation. This can be done best using a vertical mastopexy procedure. This will ensure optimum breast mound position, shape, size, with upper pole fullness and medial cleavage.

There is a lot of confusion about implant profiles.

There is a lot of confusion about implant profiles. They are not chosen in order to create a certain look, natural or otherwise. According to your measurements, your chest is relatively narrow. With a breast width of 13 cm, it could be a mistake to use moderate-plus or moderate profile 500 cc implants.
I suspect they would be too wide for your frame. That could put you at risk of symmastia (aka “Uniboob”). So it sounds to me like your plastic surgeon is spot on. When I choose implant profiles for patients, we start by choosing an implant size.

Then, we match the profile to the patient’s chest diameter and breast width. If you wanted 300 cc implants, you would likely use a moderate or moderate-plus profile.
