New Jersey Breast implants for sagging breasts

Your own words – “full, natural D cup” may be contradictory in the sense that using a 600cc implant may get you to a D cup, but it is likely to not look natural.

Of course if you are very tall and with a wider chest frame, then this may be an exception, but going from an A cup to a D and expecting it to look natural may be expecting too much.

Ask to see pictures of a patient on whom your surgeon has performed a 600cc augmentation when they began with an A cup. Look at different views and see if it looks natural to you.

It is fine to have an augmentation and run. The specifics for your case related to how big you want to go and the subsequent support ( bra ) you will need to continue running.
Sizing is critical

I suggest that you have a one on one with the plasatic surgeon himself and discuss the discrepency. There are many ways to do things, my preference is to do the sizing myself, as I am accountable.

Uneven breasts after augmentation?

40 cc is not a lot of volume, in general. I do see that your left breast appears larger, though. However, only 18 days after surgery is far too soon to worry about size discrepancies. Uneven swelling often occurs.

It may also be that your muscle on that left side is tighter than the right one (this is VERY common, as the right pec muscle tends to relax with right-handed use after surgery). If you are still asymmetric after 6 months, I would just remove some volume from that left side.

Augmentation without a lift

I think you can achieve your goal of getting more fullness to the upper portion of your breast by doing just augmentation. However you will have to be careful by not going too large so as to avoid future sagging of your breasts.

To achieve the look you show in the photos you would most likely need some sort of lift or modified lift but an in office consultation/exam with measurements would confirm that.

Make sure you seek a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who performs plenty of breast augmentations.

Breast implants in a plus sized woman

A plus sized woman should in principle be able to get breast implants in New Jersey. The ultimate decision that makes you a good candidate depends more on your overall health and breast size and shape.

Saline implants placed above the muscle

The appearance of implants placed above the muscle, in general, tend to provide greater fullness to the upper pole and a less natural, more “augmented” look. Depending on the amount of breast tissue you have, saline implants may be more prone to showing rippling of the implant and will be more prone to capsular contracture (hard, painful scar tissue around the implant).
Although I place most breast implants behind the muscle, if I have a reason to place the implant in front of the muscle, unless the patient has a significant amount of natural breast tissue, I will usually try to steer the patient towards silicone implants in New Jersey.

Breast sizing

Without an exam and measurements it is hard to advise. The width of the implant should be less than the width of your breast. If you are concerned with the recommendation, please seek another in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and best of luck.

Implant alone excellent candidate

You are an excellent candidate for implants alone. A 300 to 400 cc would fill you out well. You might benefit some years in the future from a lift, but I would not do that now.
The best advice to help you determine which size implant is the one that will help you achieve your overall desired goal is to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon and try on different sizer implants and from there you can make an informed decision about which implant will bring you to your desired look.

50 is the new 40 and perfect for a breast augmentation if you want one

51 and healthy…no problem for a surgery to your breasts. I perform far bigger surgeries on far older patients if needed. So long as you are healthy, your age is not a cause for concern.

Your surgeon should best be able to assess your health and suitability for surgery.

Breast size question

You are an excellent candidate for breast aug given your current breast shape and skin tone. The best looking results are ones where the patient has reasonable goals, and pics a size that best matches their frame.
your breast width and ribcage dimensions are key measurements in deciding the implant size and shape. The after pic you are aiming for is reasonable, however the last pic, the woman has more lower pole skin that you.

this is better for you, since you will likely show less sag underneath. Have a couple consults with different board certified PS in your area. Make sure they have you try on different sizers and different profiles so you can make an educated decision.

Before surgery, it’s best to make sure you are as healthy as possible: so generally: no smoking, eat healthy, take a multivitamin, eat a high fiber diet ( the pain meds cause serious constipation) and take a reasonable amount of time off of work / gym to heal.
remember the final result won’t be there for many months.

Allow time for implant to drop

It usually takes about 4 months for implants to drop, and you’re only 3weeks. Don’t start worrying about this now, because you still have several weeks to go. I understand that you’re concerned because one side has dropped already, but it’s common for one side to heal faster than the other.

I am very sorry you are feeling depressed. It is not uncommen for women to feel too big following surgery. You still have swelling and the breasts need time to drop and settle into position.

Also, you need time to get used to your new body. I would suggest contacting your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

Using Different Sized Implants

Your breasts aren’t just different sizes but different shapes as well. Whether or not your surgeon uses different sized implants is up to how they plan to do the surgery. Everyone sees things a bit differently.

Be sure to try on implant sizers to get a feel for what you’re most comfortable with.

Tear drop versus round imlplants

We would need to see pictures to properly answer your question, and of course an in person exam is a must, but in general I reserve tear drop (shaped) implants for patients who require breast reconstruction, or those with breast deformities.
It may depend on your breast shape as well. In 99% of my cosmetic breast augmentation patients, a round implant will be perfectly reasonable.

Risks of shaped implants include

1) firmness
2) possible rotation
3) incisions that may need to be slightly longer

Round implants in New Jersey tend to be softer, they dont rotate to change breast shape, and under your breast tissue and muscle can look very natural.

However please consult with your plastic surgeon regarding your situation and whether shaped implants would be best for you .

Wire would you want to?

I agree with the others who say to wait until the implants drop before considering an under wire bra. Afterwards, the only concern is whether it irritates the scar in the crease. If you don’t need an under wire bra for a good fit, my choice is to avoid them.
On the other hand, if you need them in order to get a good fit, then go right ahead.

Breast lift

I concur with my colleagues. Its impossible to predict how your breasts would change after breast feeding with our without implants. Regardless, it sounds like you would benefit from some form of breast lift.

Depending on the degree of sagging and excess skin, your surgeon wil determine exactly what type of lift you will need: periareolar, lollipop, or tradition lollipop + breast crease scar.

Breast Augmentation Scar Choices

You have a choice where your incisions are made. At Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery where I practice, I offer for Saline implants patients 4 choices: through the belly button (TUBA), armpit (axillary), beneath the breast (infra mammary fold) or around the areola (peri areolar).
You have the same choices for Silicone Implants except for the TUBA approach which is not possible.

Breastlift with augmentation

If you need a breastlift, and from your description it sounds like you do, an augmentation alone in NJ is not going to give you a nice result. Many patients are leery of the scars for breastlift surgery but overwhelmingly the patients find the pretty shape and size well worth the scars, which in most cases heal extremely well.

Make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to find out what your best options are.

Sub muscular

Perfect candidate for sub muscular smooth implant placement. This should give a more natural result and reduce scar tissue.
