Yes, I honestly believe implants would help. I recommend that you put them in the retromammary subfascial plane and position the implants high. You have a very long chest overall. Once the implants are in, then you can adjust one or the other areola to match. Use gel implants that don’t wrinkle as much – like Mentor Boost or Mentor Xtra Mod Plus. Good luck. Dr. Joe

Hello,
Neither submuscular or dual plane is shown to reduce strength significantly. However, if you choose submuscular I recommend absolutely no chest butterfly exercises or bench press. The muscle will be pushing against the implant and can cause it to bottom out, shift to the side, etc. Since you are active I may suggest rethinking to subfascia placement(on top of the muscle) where there is no limitations for excersises and less chance of the implant displacement.

Traveling home after surgery. Is it safe to drive 4 hours two days after the procedure?

It is safe to travel 2 days after your procedure. By stopping every hour and walking around to prevent blood clots will help along with wearing compression socks. Keep your fluid intake up as well.

Thank you for your inquiry. Infections and seroma’s are not common after an abdominoplasty but can definitely occur. Seroma’s are fluid under the skin that may be caused from inadequate compression, rest and recovery. Same holds true for infections.
