Hi,
Thanks for your question. You can address breast asymmetry with one implant, but it’s a bad idea in my opinion. Breast implants don’t just alter volume but shape, so you would have one much perkier breast than the other with this approach. Better approaches are to use two differently sized breast implants, or (if you don’t want implants) either to reduce the larger breast or fat graft/lipofill the smaller one. Hi, thanks for your question, and really well done for researching this well… because honestly, I think you would end up regretting going against your recommendation to have a lift as well as implants. I do a lot of corrective surgery and the commonest underlying cause is the patient or surgeon compromising shape because of trying to minimise scarring. Honestly, both your practitioners are probably ‘right’ in that there are many right approaches to a good outcome. Generally we wouldn’t dual sculpt the lower abdomen as we do like to overlap the midline, but since the lower abdomen isn’t usually treated on its own it is still possible to dual sculpt, by combining e.g. right lower abdomen with left upper or left flank, and then vice versa. So the treatments get done in half the time, including the overlap!

I’m going to disagree with some of the other opinions you’ve had – I think you are a good candidate for a periareolar mastopexy. PAM should really be thought of as ‘nipple repositioning’ rather than a true mastopexy, but if you’re otherwise happy with your overall breast shape (which I think is reasonable) then a PAM could be used to elevate your nipple to a better position on the breast mound, giving better overall aesthetics. Hi,
Yes that is correct – the implant will stick to your chest wall and not move. However that does not mean your breasts will never droop. It is possible to get droop of your natural breast over time, in which case they would hang over your implants (called a waterfall or Snoopy Dog appearance).

Hi,
Although PU implants are not my preference you dont need to worry about the early redness and itch – this is normal straight after these implants but it settles down spontaneously.
There is a described cancer risk which has been shown experimentally in rats, but never to my knowledge in humans as the breakdown product is not released in high enough concentrations to be harmful.
