Thank you for your question. It looks like you had a circumareoar/donut/Benelli-type mastopexy with your implants. This type of lift puts tension around the areola, and this could be causing the redness that you see. Capsular contracture would be seen or felt as tightening and hardness of the implant, and is unlikely this soon after surgery. Best bet is to visit your Plastic Surgeon for evaluation.

Thanks for your question. From your photo, it looks to me like you are seeing a demarcation between the breast tissue that you started with and the implant underneath it. In patients with more discrete gland tissue it may take some time for the breast to settle and remodel over the underlying implant. This could also be a subtle double-bubble or some swelling. In any case, most of these issues do settle with time. Check in with your Plastic Surgeon if you need reassurance.

Thank you for your question. There are really two issues at play when deciding whether weight loss is necessary prior to any surgery -- safety and cosmetic results. Your BMI is over 41 right now -- our absolute cutoff for surgery is a BMI below 40, and risks of anesthesia and surgery are lower if you can get down below 35. Thanks for your question. At only 1 month after your procedure it is common to see differences in the way that the implants and breast lift are settling. It looks like 1 of your implants is sitting a bit higher, and this can affect the shape of the breast. In many cases the implants settle evenly, but it may take 6 months to see the final position. In addition, lifts take time to evolve. If you have concerns regarding your recovery it is always wise to talk to your Plastic Surgeon.
