Breast implants in Chicago IL are a great way to increase upper breast fullness. The size implants you are considering are on the conservative size and should not significantly increase your overall volume. It sounds like you had a very good consultation, but I would recommend revisiting with your surgeon if you have additional questions.

Wanting upper volume

if you are just looking for a modest increase in upper breast fullness, smaller implants might provide the difference you are seeking. I think you have already taken the correct approach of seeking an in-person consultation so the surgeon can do a proper assessment including breast measurements, trying on sizers, etc.

The two principle methods for adding volume to the breast are fat transfer and breast implants. Fat transfer can be somewhat useful in targeting specific areas of volume loss but results can be somewhat variable.

Fat transfer is widely used in this way for revision work in breast reconstruction. The more reliable method for primary cosmetic augmentation is to use breast implants. Restoring upper pole volume is a very common request among patients inquiring about breast augmentation in Chicago.

Certainly implants in Chicago would give you that benefit but would likely require an implant somewhat larger than the 190-210cc you are considering. When faced with patients who are uncertain of their size, I use external sizers that can be worn in a special bra and simulate the end result.

There are also imaging technologies available that can give you an idea of what you would look like with different implants. These and other techniques can help eliminate some of the mystery in helping patients feel more comfortable selecting an implant size.
SVT and breast implants

You need to speak to the doctor treating your SVT. If they feel you are a reasonable surgical risk then it would be OK to proceed. There is nothing about the implants themselves that shold interact with your heart condition.

Breast implants and SVT medical history

Placing breast implants is an elective cosmetic procedure and therefore is not inidicated for every patient that desires breast implants in Chicago. You need a complete work-up by your cardiologist pre-op to determine whether it is safe for you to have it done.

If your condition is well-controlled and he/she gives the “greenlight,” then it is probably OK. .

I have performed breast augmentation and other elective cosmetic procedures on several patients with a history of SVT. Each situation is slightly different as are the risks. After a careful history and physical examination I contact the patients cardiologists and specifically review the planned surgery including the type and duration of anesthesia and medications I will use before, during and after the procedure.
Most cardiologists are very willing to work with me on decreasing the risk to a minimum and will let me know if they believe the patient is a high risk. Usually elective cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation can be safely performed when everyone is on the same page.

Breast augmentation and cardiac arrhythmia

You need to speak with your cardiologist to be cleared for elective surgery. Once you have been cleared, your plastic surgeon will consult with your anesthesiologist to make sure that he or she is aware of your medical history.

Once this has been done, you should be able to undergo surgery.

SVT and Breast Augmentation surgery

Before considering breast augmentation in Chicago, I would recommend you visit with your cardiologist to obtain medicine/cardiac clearance for elective breast augmentation surgery. I would recommend that your procedure be performed in a hospital setting or a fully accredited (AAAASF accreditation) operating room facility with access to hospital admission in case a cardiac arrythmia shoudl manfest perioperatively or postoperatively.
Its best to be over-prepared for any scenario.

If you are looking to add volume and increase upper pole fullness, I think that implants alone would be appropriate for you if you are willing to accept some sagging.

I am currently a 34D and want to restore volume.

The implant your surgeon suggested are not going to give you any upper pole fullness. If you don’t want to go bigger, you should look into fat transfer. I t can be selectively put in the upper poles to fill that area up more.

Implants or no?

If you are happy with your size, 34-D, then a mastopexy may suit your needs. This procedure will elevate the areola on the chest wall and take in the loose skin that is typical after breast feeding.
The same breast volume in a smaller skin envelop will make the breast feel firmer, lifted will get the breast skin off the skin of your upper tummy. This can also provide some upper pole fullness that you seek.

Speak with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area and he or she will be able to discuss all the options available to you. After having children and nursing, you have lost breast tissue which is above the muscle. Your nipples look to be at the IM line, so no lift, just fill what went away. Implants, over the muscle .

Different answers

Nothing unusual about getting different opinions from different docors. I would be surprised if you didn’t. I have many patients with your anatomy that are pleased with under the muscle implants without a lift as long as the procedure uses a dual plane technique and as long as you don’t mind not having much fullness in the upper breast.
If for some reason you aren’t happy with the results, you can always go back and do a lift later. It is much safer that way anyway.

It’s natural to be both excited and nervous at the same time prior to your surgery. From your pictures, you have many factors in your favor that make a good result more likely. Given your thin, athletic build, I would recommend that you use a very moderate size implant, avoiding larger implants in Chicago.

Your surgeon should be able to help you to determine what implant range would be appropriate for your goals. It should be possible to keep the things you like about your breasts, namely the shape and perkiness.

Implant selection for Petite frame

The final appearance after surgery depends upon the implant size, current breast volume, skin characteristics (tight or loose), and chest (breast) width. If you have tight skin and are small, an implant under the muscle will help keep the upper edge of the implant from being too obvious, or “fake”.

Trying on implants before surgery and viewing similar patients’ before and after photos will help you see what you may expect. An experienced surgeon will be able to take all this into account and recommend the proper implant for you.
Your breast surgery should be individualized

I can certainly appreciate your thoughts and concerns about your implant shape and size. It is true that in some women with narrow torsos, a specialized implant, higher in profile, can be very helpful to allow adequate projection without excessive width.

Your care, however, should be individualized and the best way to do that is to get specific recommendations from a plastic surgeon who can examine you. Small framed patients can get fantastic results, so I encourage you to followup with a board certified plastic surgeon!

Breast implants in skinny women – narrow chest wall and small breasts

Thin women with a narrow chest width and breast dimensions may require a specialized breast implant with a high ‘height to width’ ratio. This can be assessed during your consultation with intricate measurements of your breast shape, diameter, and dimensions.
Chest wall anatomy is important in picking the right type of implant.

Implant diameter increases with volume. If the volume you want in a regular implant exceeds the normal anatomic limits of the breast, a higher profile implant might be more suitable (greater projection per unit of diameter).

I don’t believe going below the muscle has any influence on choosing the size and projection of the implant.

The Best Option to Enhance Your Breast Size is to Undergo Breast Augmentation

It’s normal to have anxiety about undergoing cosmetic surgery. It’s also appropriate to ask whether or not there are nonsurgical alternatives that may have less risk and accomplish your aesthetic goals. There are two nonsurgical alternatives to breast implants for breast enlargement.
These include a variety of pills and creams which supposedly increase breast size. Unfortunately, there is no scientific data or proof that they actually work. There is also the Brava system, which utilizes an external suction device.

This might result in a small increase in breast size. The device needs to be worn for several months and the results may not be permanent. Before considering these nonsurgical alternatives, you should re-evaluate your aesthetic goals.

These options at best would provide minimal changes in breast size. For these reasons, the use of breast implants in Chicago still represent the best alternative for breast augmentation.

BA- Saline VS Silicone

When choosing a breast implant, it’s important to keep in mind the “look” the patient is trying to attain. Both types of implants in Chicago are safe and effective. Saline has a rippling effect due to the fact that it’s water based, while silicone has a harder texture, making it feel more natural to some patients.
We suggest for the patient to bring us a picture of what they want to achieve and together we can make a proper decision of what’s best for the patient.

Natural look after augmentation

Based on your pictures and your stated size enlargement I would guess that you would look more augmented than natural.

Your decision comes down to your desire for a natural appearance vs. the size that you want to be.

If you value looking natural more I would choose a smaller size. If size is your primary consideration you have to accept a less natural look. Without actually examining you it is very difficult to say for sure what you can achieve.

Possible Capsular Contracture

Yes it does sound like you may be experiencing a capsular contracture of both breasts. Capsular Contractures usually create hard and painful breasts which can occur at anytime after a breast augmentation in Chicago. Without a physcial examination a definitive diagnosis cannot be given.

Make sure your appointment is with a board certified plastic surgeon. If you do indeed have contractures then you will need capsulectomies as well as new implants.

The symptoms that you’re experiencing sound like capsular contracture.

Capsular contracture is a complication that can occur with breast implants in Chicago. The hardness that you’re feeling is likely from scar tissue around the implants that’s become dense. This scar tissue is creating pressure against your implants.
The best way to treat capsular contracture is to remove the scar capsule and replace the implant. I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breast augmentation and revision. After your initial surgeon brushed off your complaints, you deserve to be treated by a professional who understands and respects your experience.
