Is this normal after a temporary crown?
Pain with chewing on temporary crown
Apr 9, 2016
A broken temporary is a reason to call your dentist.  Furthermore, if your tooth remains painful when chewing you should absolutely call your dentist to be evaluated.  It's noteworthy that if the additional anesthetic used during the procedure was necessary due to discomfort, this may be a sign that the tooth needs a root canal. Don't delay---call your dentist.
Should I extract molar that had decay just below the gum line rather than do root canal. Then post a
Can this tooth be saved?
Mar 31, 2016
Without seeing an x-ray it's nearly impossible to provide you with a credible answer.  Many factors affect the decision of which treatment modality would give the tooth the best opportunity for success or if it's best extracted. Please see if you can post a copy of the recent x-ray.  Thanks!!
Porcelain Veneers for Enamel Decay?
Porcelain Veneers for discolored teeth
Mar 30, 2016
Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for correcting discolored teeth that are otherwise healthy.  It's important to note, however, once you have veneers it's often the case that you will always need them---meaning if one gets damaged or comes off you'll need to replace it.  It's something to consider since porcelain veneers are not inexpensive.
Are my teeth too big for crown lengthening?
Gummy Smile
Mar 29, 2016
Before committing to gum surgery I'd suggest you explore the option of using Botox to cosmetically drop your lip line.  Many dentists are well trained in this area and it's a much less invasive treatment for a gummy smile. Good luck!!
Pain in front tooth two weeks after permanent crown seated.
Front tooth sensitive 2 weeks after crown cementation
Mar 28, 2016
It's worth having the dentist re-evaluate your tooth at this point.  Although it may feel fine when your teeth are in the closed position the bite could still need adjusting.  The dentist will have you move and grind your teeth together to see if the bite is correct.  There are other reasons your tooth may still be sensitive and your dentist should be made aware that you're still uncomfortable.  It's uncommon, at this point, to have the "dull pain" you're describing.  Best to call your...
Can wisdom teeth extraction negatively affect face?
Does removal of wisdom teeth affect the chin.
Mar 24, 2016
There's no research that supports that theory.  The length of the dental arch remains unchanged after wisdom tooth extraction.
Any suggestions on Dental crowns?
Old fillings beneath new crowns
Mar 24, 2016
It's often the case that in the process of preparing teeth for crowns all of the remaining existing filling material is completely drilled away in the process.  As the tooth is being reduced, the filling material is also reduced and it becomes fairly obvious to the dentist if there is recurrent decay around the filling. If you have concerns about this aspect of your treatment you should discuss this with your dentist.  Most dentists are happy to have patients interested and involvement in...
