Breast Implants: Info, Prices, Photos, Rewiews, Q&A

There are 3 main options for the placement of breast implants in Florida:

– over the muscle (subpectoral)
– under the muscle (subglandular)
– half over/half under the muscle (dual plane).

Over the muscle allows for reduced recovery time, less discomfort and is an effective way to correct slight breast ptosis.

However, this technique tends to produce a less naural looking result and studies have shown leads to an increased risk of capsular contracture. Under the muscle significantly reduces that risk and allows for more natural looking results, particularly for patients with saline implants which can ocassionally show rippling if placed above the muscle.

The disadvantage to this technique is added discomfort and additional downtime, but patients are still able to recover within a few days and are prescribed medication to alleviate any discomfort. The preferred method for breast augmentation in FL is the Dual Plane technique (half over/half under).

This provides patients with the same benefits of the subpectoral technique, including a reduced risk of capsular contracture and a more natural look. Infact, this technique tends to provide the most natural looking results of all three options.

Breast lift

Since so many other people have already chimed in, I though I should as well. In my opinion, looking at your photos, you would be happiest with a breast lift and augmentation. No one has ever shown that by putting in larger implants are you able to lift the breast at all.

I think if you were to have in implant without an augmentation you would be disappointed with the results. You would likely end up with an implant in a good position on your chest wall, but the rest of your breast tissue would be falling over the front of the implant.
I would look at a lot of photos of different women who look like you and noticed the differences between those who did and did not have a lift with their augmentation

When choosing implant size in Florida

I like my patients to ‘see’ what they will be using external sizers in unlined brassieres. Despite what others may say, this has been a very simple and accurate method for my patients to achieve their desired size and look.

It is often larger than what cup they thought they wanted. A 225 cc sizer would show what a 250 cc implant would look like and a 275cc sizer would show you what a 300 cc implant would look like.

When in doubt, my patients are always told to go with the larger one as the biggest complaint is that they wish they went larger.

Your breast asymmetry after saline breast implants in Florida will improve with time.

As other doctors have stated it is early in your recovery and I would expect that your left breast will continue to drop and assume a more natural position and shape with time.
However there is a seeming very significant asymmetry which makes me suspect that the right breast was larger and lower than the left breast prior to your breast augmentation. If there was asymmetry before your breast augmentation you will continue to have asymmetry of some degree even after the implants achieve their final position.

See your surgeon and ask if he or she is concerned about the asymmetry. If the asymmetry persists there are many different options for revision.

Breast fat grafting AFT

and posting an appropriate picture. While you seem to be a good candidate for breast augmentation using implants in FL, you may benefit from autologous fat transfer to your breasts which will address asymmetry and give you up to one cup size increase after one procedure.
Of course you would need a consultation for precise recommendations 3D imaging for simulation of your postoperative outcome.

Breast lift/reduction

and photos. First, congrats on the weight loss thus far! You appear to be an ideal candidate for a breast reduction/lift once you reach your goal weight and are able to maintain it. Please be sure that you are evaluated in person by a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine what would be best for you.

Scars

Most patients heal nicely. The trick is massaging your scars with scar cream/gel that can be purchased at your physicians office and using the medical grade silicone tape on the scars at night. Treating the scars for 6 months is recommended.

Scars fade over 2-3 years (with the first 6 months them being most visible). However, depending on where your have your incision, in the fold of the breasts they hide well and generally not noticeable in a bathing suit.
The nipple incision also for obvious reasons would not be visible in a bikini and generally fades nicely to match the nipples natural placement. Axillary (arm pit) incisions would be visible if you raised your arms but over time they fade and often maintain a small and aesthetically appeasing look.

Can I get away with just an augmentation without lift?

This is one of the more common questions posed to plastic surgeons during breast surgery consults. My experience has been that women ultimately are willing to accept additional scars for the sake of a more beautiful and natural contour.

To put it another way, you might be better off thinking of what would give you the best aesthetic result rather than what you could “get away with.” Regarding your case specifically, obviously photographs are no substitute for an in-person examination.
That being said, from your photos, you would likely be better suited to include a lift along with your augmentation. This lift would either be a circumareolar lift (which essentially would just look like an areolar reduction with scars only around the areola) or a circumvertical lift (scar extending down below the areola).

The result will be a perkier breast with more fullness. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon for an examination and to discuss your options.

Florida Breast implants for saggy breasts?

Using very very large implants would only give you very very large saggy breasts. In other words you are a candidate for full lift.

Don’t recommend revision breast augmentation throught the armpit.

The question is not can someting be done. The question is how will you get the best result. I think you will get a better more predictable result from secondary breast augmentation with silicone breast implants with an incision in Florida under the breast or under the nipple.
Breast Lift Needed?

In my opinion, a breast lift is needed for optimal results. Ideally, you would have implants placed under the muscle with a vertical pattern breast lift (lollipop scar). You may be able to have implants over the muscle and a a less invasive lift, but I would suggest a vertical pattern lift as it will give you the best shape.

Do I need a lift with implants, or implants alone?

From your photographs it is hard to tell for sure if you need a lift. A loose rule of thumb would be if you did the pencil test and the nipple is below the pencil, you need a lift if not you probably don’t need a lift.
However, you breast do appear to sit a bit low on your chest and this relationship can not really be changed – it’s how your genetics. The volume and perkiness can be improved, but the breasts will likely always sit a little low.

You really need to consult with an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon in person for examination and discussion of the options that would be best for you specifically.

Not as good a silicone

Just to be clear silicone implant are and have always been safe. The studies have looked at hundreds of thousands of women comparing those with silicone implants and those without and there is no difference in disease prevalence between the two groups.

Silicone will always feel more natural. However, initially saline will feel firm but over time they and the breast tissue will soften. After 6 months they will feel very natural. If you were an A cup I would strongly recommend silicone but at a B cup you probably have enough overlying breast tissue to give the overall result a very natural feel.

Does the price of the surgery include the post op visits?

It is standard around the country that postop visits are part of the surgical package, at least for a certain period. Check with your specific surgeon for details.

If you’re worried about animation or movement, then overs might work for you. You may also need or want to have a lift in order to get as perky as you may want to be.

Breast augmentation only?

You are correct that your nipples are in good position. I tell patients like you the same thing you said, you are deflated not sagging. You just need a breast augmentation to reinflate your breasts.

What size?

The width of the implant should balance with your hips. The projection (how far you stick out) is a matter of your goals. If possible ask your PS if you can try on sizers in a testing bra.

SVT and breast augmentation surgery

Breast Implants In Florida before having children.

Breast implants In Florida will not have any negative impact on the health of a pregnancy. Pregnancy can, however, cause a change in the appearance and/or fullness of your breasts. For most patients, the decision to undergo a breast augmentation procedure is a very personal one and I have found in over 20 years of experience that there is no perfect age to have this done.
Many women will elect to have a breast augmentation before having children, but I will recommend that patients wait to have a breast augmentation if they are planning on having children in the immediate future (planning on becoming pregnant within a few months).

I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who is well experienced in breast augmentation procedures. At the time of your consultation, all of the available options will be addressed and it may help you make your decision.

Remember, this is a personal decision and only you can decide when it is the right time for you!

I’d go ahead with the procedure now

There will always be new technology in anything that we do; there will be new car designs, new electronic devices, faster computers, etc. With breast implants, the current saline and silicone gel implant technology is excellent.
They are safe, time-tested and yield excellent results. The current “gel” implants are called “cohesive” (do not run if cut or rupture). Newer generation form-stable (“gummy bear”) implants are still being studied in Europe and are firmer, will require larger incisions and may not be as popular here as in Europe because they are firmer.

In addition, we do not know exactly when they will become available in the U. S. I think if you are intereested in the procedure, the current gel and saline implants are the best we have ever had and I would feel perfectly comfortable recommending to you that you go ahead with a breast augmentation now.

I think you would achieve an excellent result from an augmentation alone. Silicone implants placed using the dual plane method is recommended. If you are unsure on the size of implant, ask your surgeon to “try on” the sizes in his or her office to get a realistic idea of what they would look like.
Be sure to also focus more on the “look” than the size.

FL Breast augmentation implant selection for real look

Generally speaking silicone implants have a more natural feel and look. It is also much lees likely to show wrinkles or implant edge. This is more true the small breasted you are since there is less tissue to cover the implant.

If you have plenty of tissue to cover, then saline can work just about as well. Discuss options with your plastic surgeon.

What determines size?

This is probably a reflection of how much breast tissue a woman has prior to undergoing an aug and also related to the size of her bodyie a 400 cc implant on a woman 5’10 will not look as big as a woman 4’10.

High profile implants and the natural look

The answer depends on 2 things: Your chest shape and what type of breast you have. If you have a bird like chest (see video below for explanation) you will need high profile no matter what.
