Can my veneers be shortened to fix the lopsidedness?
Veneers can be adjusted after cementation
Jul 6, 2023
Minimal adjustments can be made to veneers after cementation. In my office we always insist on a two week follow up appointment. At this time we evaluate any minor adjustments that could be made. Sometimes there are facial asymmetries that cannot be fully corrected because of the underlying jaw structure. It sounds like you have a clear understanding of what you would like to see, so this will be helpful in communicating to your dentist. They will likely be able to make minor adjustments to…
Can I have a second opinion on dirt deposits in crack between veneer and tooth?
Microleakage and staining can be repaired
Aug 8, 2021
Your plan to ask the dentist to drill out and reseal the stained area with composite resin is a good idea. From your photos it appears that you have significant erosion concerns. You should also discuss with your dentist a strategy to prevent further erosion. This may include fluoride therapy and use of a nighttime appliance
Do you think by looking at these pictures Invisalign is worth it or would I have t go down the brace
Invisalign can be life changing!
Aug 5, 2021
I have had success in treating orthodontic problems that appeared just like yours with Invisalign. For many people that suffer from teeth misalignment, Invisalign is life changing. Of course, you will need to have a proper evaluation including xrays to determine if you are a candidate for this treatment.
Could this grow back or I need to extract and implant a new one?
Ouch!
Oct 29, 2020
Hello Yaya- sorry this happened! This tooth can be built up with a filling; however, fillings that cover the biting edge of a tooth are prone to fracturing. Perhaps a full crown would be the best choice long term. Make sure you go to a cosmetic dentist that has the proven ability to create natural results.
Am I a candidate for implants to replace my bridge and orthodontic work?
More information required
Sep 20, 2020
I would usually recommend an implant supported bridge in a situation like yours with 4 missing front teeth. You definitely have some challenges evident in this panoramic radiograph, but a skilled cosmetic dentist that also does orthodontics will be able to guide you through your options.
Would porcelain veneers or composite bonding be better for my teeth?
Time to seek out a third opinion
Nov 11, 2019
You have some significant challenges with both treatment choices. Just based on what I see in photos, I would recommend you consider orthodontics to open your bite a little bit before cosmetic restoration OR a minor gum lift to allow longer teeth without changing the biting edge of your teeth. Veneers typically look better, but there a few dentist that have amazing abilities with resin bonding. You should expect to see examples of the doctors actual work…
Can I get a refund if I paid with Care Credit and don’t like my veneers?
Temporary veneers
Jan 11, 2019
7 months seem far too long to have temporaries on. There may be more to this story so I really can’t comment specifically other than to encourage people seeking cosmetic dentistry to do their homework, ask questions, and insist on viewing real before and after images of actual patients that demonstrate the dentist’s abilities and experience. At this point it may not save you time and money making a switch. Give the lab and dentist one last try, take selfie photos of …
