Because as you say the crown is pushing the gum.It is good to know if they made a contour of the gums ?, If so or not, fraronron the crown to where it is now, because the preparation of the tooth reaches that level and that is why it looks like it is pushing the gum.

According to your story “without seeing any image”just bragging, there must be a nerve injury or maybe an infection. Nerve injuries usually remain for a while.With another tomography and the previous one you can compare and see if there is injury or not, visit another surgeon, while using anti-inflammatory analgesics with vitamin B will help you.
