Could porcelain veneers be an option for me to have a straight smile?

Hello,
Since braces and jaw surgery is not an option for you, I would recommend a combination of veneers and crowns. Depending on the area of the mouth and the situation of each tooth, i would then plan the proper restoration whether it be a crown or a veneer to achieve the best possible outcome for your smile. Sometimes to be able to fix a cross bite a dentist would need to put a crown on a tooth instead of a veneer. You should interview a dentist you like and take a look at his/her work…

Hello,

If the lab is making temps for you based on the wax up that was previously done, then the temporaries should be ready on the same day you prep your teeth. Therefore, technically there is no need to wait any longer than it would take the lab to make your permanent veneers which could be one to two weeks. You can do it the way your dentist is suggesting but it just takes longer. The way your dentist is suggesting is not incorrect. Every dentist has their own way and there own…

Front tooth was fixed with a cap thats larger than the rest of my teeth different color, what are my options to fix it?

Hello,
I’m not sure how or why your dentist was ok with cementing that crown that is a different color, shape and size from your natural teeth. Anytime a crown is made it should blend with your other teeth, not stand out. I would recommend seeing another dentist who can correct the crown that was just placed on your tooth. Depending on where you live and the experience of the doctor and lab technician the cost of the crowns can range from $500-$2,000.

Best of luck,

Why is there discoloration under temporary crowns?
Why is there discoloration under temporary crowns?
Apr 12, 2018
Hi there,
There seems to be a leakage of saliva, and bacteria under the temporary crowns. This can cause staining under the temp crowns. The stain can be removed and I would recement the temp crowns with temp cement. I would get the permanent crowns placed as soon as you can.

Best of Luck,
Dr. Glosman

Do my crowns look grey?

Hello,
As far as the color of your crowns, in different light they can look different. With different cameras they look different dependent on the camera and the flash. The firs picture you sent , the crowns look a little gray, in the third picture they all look a little more yellow than the first picture. The goal is to have them blend in with the color of your natural teeth. As a cosmetic dentist , yes I can see a tinge of gray but it’s not that bad and i’m sure it’s not that…

It seems that you are doing all the right things as far as your gum and bone health. When the roots are exposed due to recession there is always the chance of sensitivity to the teeth. Based on the information you gave and your photos, the most conservative treatment that would cover the root surfaces, close the gaps and really transform your smile into a beautiful, clean, white smile would be porcelain veneers. I would recommend a night gaurd be made after the veneers were put on as well…

Hello,
I understand your concerns. It looks like you’re missing a front tooth. I don’t think a perfect midline is possible but i do think it can be closer with the use of porcelain veneers. Your right lateral tooth will need to be made to look like a central incisor and the right canine should be a lateral. Veneers can change and mask the shape of teeth to give you a more balanced and harmonious smile you can be proud of. Best of luck.
