Dental bridges require the shaving of adjacent teeth. Dentists might be reluctant to shave healthy teeth as their main job is saving teeth, not impacting them. Also, because a better option is available, which are implants. Implants mimic the natural teeth and, unlike bridges, prevent bone loss. With a bridge you run the risk of it "floating" after a few years as with time your bone and gum will start to "shrink", meaning it will not appear as it is attached to the gum.

My recommendation would be to first do a CT scan to look at your bone density. Once a tooth is not in place, bone loss starts to occur. Bone grafts might be necessary to replace that bone, before putting in an implant.

To be sure you apply for veneers your bite would first need to be examined. Unfortunately, those with an over and underbite, do not apply for veneers, as the constant friction would cause them to break.

An X-ray should determine if restoration is enough, meaning the molar is restored using resin.
Another option would be to extract the tooth to place an implant and Crown.
Of course, a bridge is also an option, but implants are better at preventing bone loss, and they do not require the shaving of the two nearby teeth. Dental implants require two separate visits.
