From the radiographs presented, the implant is much too narrow and is not deep enough to be fully embedded in solid bone. Yes, tooth colored fillings can be placed at the back of lateral incisors near the gumline in order to fill cavities. Tooth colored bonding is technique sensitive so the dentist must be careful not to have the filling and receptor site area get contaminated with either blood or saliva. The area must be isolated and sometimes if the cavity is below the gumline, we use our Diode laser to clear out the soft tissue in order to have the filling rest on a solid and visible foundation.
