Answer Snippet
Which procedure would help minimize the appearance of 7 month old arm lift scars?
Scar management
Jan 23, 2023
I would recommend Vbeam laser treatments, which can be very useful in minimizing scar appearance while scars are still young and in the “red” stage. Generally, at least 3 sessions spaced about a month apart are recommended. In addition, topical scar management in the form of silicone, topical steroids, or other creams may be used to hasten recovery and minimize scarring.
Can Vbeam cause scabbing?
Vbeam causing scabbing
Jan 23, 2023
Vbeam treatment can lead to scabbing if too much energy is absorbed by the top layers of skin. The scabbing is similar to a superficial burn. If severe enough, the burn can lead to a white spot, which can be temporary or permanent, depending on many factors.
