For people with risks of uterine cancer, is it okay to do Viveve? Is the RF energy the same as micr
Viveve and RF energy
Feb 7, 2020
Feb 7, 2020
Viveve is a very safe procedure, but if a woman has concerns of uterine cancer, that should be evaluated first and foremost before having the Viveve procedure. Having said that, the Viveve procedure does not increase the risk of uterine cancer.
RF, or radio frequency energy is different than microwave energy and has different effects and potential side effects in human tissue. Radio frequency energy, like that used in the Viveve procedure has been proven safe and effective…
Is it painful to have sex after a perineoplasty?
Painful sex after Perineoplasty
Feb 7, 2020
Feb 7, 2020
The healing time for a Perineoplasty is about 6 weeks for most women. Prior to having sex after the surgery, a woman should have a post op exam to make sure healing is complete and the vagina/perineum is ready for sex. Some women may experience discomfort when starting to have sex again after the surgery, but in most cases this pain goes away with time. If pain persists, this should be evaluated. Injecting platelet rich plasma in the areas of discomfort can be helpful, but in rare cases…

O-Shot Sensitivity
Feb 7, 2020
Feb 7, 2020
After the O Shot, some women may experience a temporary
clitoral hypersensitivity which can last a week or two. I’ve been
performing the O Shot for several years and none of my patients have had any
long term or lingering negative side effects.

Does getting an O-Shot hurt?

For most women, the O Shot is virtually painless. I know that sounds hard to believe, but my technique of numbing the treatment area allows for an almost imperceptible injection.
Can the o-shot help women who have had a hysterectomy specifically the uterus removed?
O Shot after hysterectomy
Dec 10, 2017
Dec 10, 2017
Women who’ve undergone hysterectomy are just as good a candidate for the O Shot as women who still have their uterus. Having said that, you want to make sure, whether or not you have a uterus, that what you are hoping to achieve can be accomplished with the O Shot. I use the O Shot to treat bladder leaking, over active bladder symptoms, diminished sexual sensitivity/orgasmic dysfunction, and lichen sclerosus (a painful and disfiguring skin condition affecting the external vulvar…

You can get the O Shot during your period if you want to. Your provider will not be hindered by the blood that may be present and will clean the area prior to the injection. If you are more sensitive or uncomfortable during your menses, you may want to postpone it. In my experience, women do just fine getting the O Shot during their period.
Is Geneveve helpful for urinary incontenece?
Is Geneveve helpful for urinary incontinence?
Dec 5, 2017
Dec 5, 2017
Absolutely yes! Results may last 1-2 years, but hard to give a definitive answer. It won’t hurt at all!
Let me expand on those statements. Geneveve was not originally designed to treat urinary incontinence, but like so many other medical treatments and drugs, Geneveve has been found to be a great nonsurgical treatment option for bladder leaking. Many women who had the Geneveve procedure for vaginal tightening began noticing that they had improvement in bladder control.
