Sometimes it is necessary to remove teeth in order to make enough space to place the teeth in the proper position.  It depends on your case.  There may be other options to correct your teeth as well.  I would express your concerns to your orthodontist, but sometimes extraction of four premolars is necessary for the best orthodontic outcome.  Good luck!
