Implant exposure is an urgent matter and you should see your plastic surgeon immediately. The wound will likely not heal on its own and you may need to have the implant removed totally. It is important to make sure it is cared for properly to ensure that your wound does not become larger and you minimize any infection risk due to the implant exposure.

The debate between smooth and textured implants has been recently ignited by the media and some new findings. The bottom line is: we don’t know everything about the debate yet.
Textured implant surfaces have pros and cons. Advantages include: less chance of capsular contracture, less malposition over time.
They also have the disadvantage of being associated with ALCL. The risk we believe to be 1:50,000-1:80,000. That’s 0.002...

Not to worry. A surgeon would not schedule a procedure if they couldn't handle the time and attention it required.
Every surgeon is different and their workload can vary but I would not be concerned about them being too tired to do a good job. Express your concerns with your physician and I'm sure he/she will reassure you.

We recommend patients can resume full upper and lower body exercises after six weeks with full intensity. That being said, the most important recommendation is that you listen to your body and slowly integrate back into your daily exercises/hobbies. Take it slow and test it out! Then, check back with your board-certified plastic surgeon if you have any concerns afterwards.
