A Brazilian Butt lift is in fact autologous fat transfer to the buttocks. The fat is harvested from other areas, usually the abdomen and thighs and that is used to augment the buttock area. The fat is harvested, treated and prepared and injected via a Micro Droplet technique into the different layers of the buttocks to achieve the best results.Because of the increase in volume in the buttock area it gives an impression of a lift to the buttock area, hence the name.

My patients normally get back to work ( desk job) by about a week after surgery. Most of my patients are able to do their routine activities by the 3rd day after surgery. They are able to shower on the 3rd or the 4th post op. day. But as the techniques vary with different surgeons, the recovery time may vary.
