There are ways to assess the health status of the nerve inside your tooth. Just because a tooth is sensitive, does not necessarily mean that it needs a root canal treatment. The birth process can be very traumatic and leave the cranium distorted. Over time we can develop cranial distortions that can cause the type of asymmetry that you have. I have seen this improved with a neuromuscular approach to dentistry, and also by the use of an ALF orthodontic/orthopedic appliance used along with an experienced cranial-sacral therapist / osteopath. I agree with Dr. Gary Braunstein.   It could be possible to retreat the root canal and save your tooth.  It sounds like the infection is quite large, so I would recommend that you see a specialist to see if there is a good chance of success if you try to save your tooth.  I always feel that it is worth trying to save a natural tooth.  I still think that a good tooth is better than a good implant, however a compromised tooth is not as good as a good implant.   Once you know the likeli…

In general if you have gum recession, moving the teeth with braces has the potential to cause the recession to worsen.  Having the graft done before the tooth movement can help prevent the worsening during orthodontic treatment.  It sounds like good advice to me.

The back teeth serve to support the bite and the jaws.  If they are lost, the front teeth receive all the pressure when you close your teeth together.  This can lead to the loosening of the front teeth.  It is difficult to know what the condition is of your front teeth but I would suggest that you seek the help of a very knowledgeable and experienced dentist to restore the bite in the back of your mouth and assess and treat the issues in the front of your mouth.
