I had upper eyelid surgery and I found a lump; is this normal and will it go?
Medial lump after upper blepharoplasty
May 27, 2016
Dear Dizzie70!do not worry! It is very common after this procedure, that the is some surplus of skin at the inner end of the scar.Your procedure is also very “young” with still a lot of swelling. You will see, that this will go away completely after 1-3 months!I hope that this information is some help to you!best regards and good luck!G Huemer
Thight lift disaster! Please read my post and help me.
Wound dehiscence after thigh lift
Jan 17, 2016
Dear patient! What I can see is that you had a so called T-thighlift with a vertical and horizontal scar. The junction point is always the weakest point and prone to dehiscence.Right now there is nothing really that you could do except good wound hygiene and special wound coverage.Luckily, the wounds will eventually heal without much disfigurement – worst case would be a scar revision once everything is healed – not before 6 months!I hope that this information may help you a little bit!Good…
Follow up question: Is fat transfer breast augmentation a good option for a woman with a
Success in fat transfer to the breast depends on individual expectations
Jul 19, 2015
Dear bareft! As you have already read by many of the doctors before, the typical question would be you probably are not a good candidate for fat trasfer to the breast. However, it really depends on your expectations. If you are also happy with a liposuction procedure in your buttock/thigh area and if you just want a minimal enhancement of your breasts, then you should probably go for it In any other case, you would be a perfect candidate for wisely chosen breast implants!Anyway, best luck for…
Would I be a good candidate for liposuction?
Liposuction alone wouldn’t suffice
Jun 5, 2015
You got a lot of good answers from my colleagues. I definitely agree, that liposuction alone would not be a good choice. However, one solution may be to do a thorough debulking through liposuctioning and perform in one session a radical skin excision such as an abdominoplasty or lower bodylift. On the other hand, continuing with your weight loss would be the best but most difficult option!I wish you all the best!regards,G Huemer
Have you ever done a vertical incision from axillary to pelvis to correct back laxity?
Very unusual approach, but can be done in the right patient
May 21, 2015
Dear Sara!Treating a lot of massive weight loss patients, a vertical incision is very seldomly in consideration. Usually, bach laxity is treated with a upper body lift, in which the scar lies within the bra area and thus very unconspicuousThere is a patient on my profile, in which I have performed such surgery. The vertical scar on the side of the body can be troublesome in many ways….I would really reconsider and probably get a second opinion!best luck to you!G Huemer
I have really skinny legs (ankles) and I hate it. Is there anything possible I can do ple
Fat injection in ankle region
Jan 31, 2015
Fat injection may be the only possible treatment for your problem. But be aware of the fact that there are definitely more than one procedures necessary to get a decent result. The area is not as receptive for fat injections than other areas as the breast. Please talk to your plastic surgeons about this!Good luck!best regards,G Huemer
Thinking About Downsizing from High Profile to Mod Plus
3 months too soon to tell
Jan 31, 2015
Dear Arnett!I would definitely wait at least for 6-9 months after the initial operation to make a decision. At 3-months post-op, the breast are definitely still swollen and the end result will not show. There is also some time that you get used to your new breasts.Every operation carries some risks and an implant exchange also has. My advice would be to wait ideally a year after considering the exchange. Hope that this will help you!best regards,G Huemer
Searching reconstructive surgeon in Europe.
Reconstructive surgeon in Europe
Jan 30, 2015
Dear Cestlavie!Since Europe is rather big, it would be helpful if you would narrow the geographical area. In almost every European country there are gifted and talented plastic surgeons who have experience in complex reconstructive surgery. Since you only mentioned your lips, it would also be helpful if you would specify your wishes for reconstructive surgery.best regards,G Huemer
1 week post op. Hematoma? Capsular contracture risk? Too soon to tell? 500cc HP mentor silicone
Too soon to tell after 1 week
Jan 29, 2015
Dear Jillian!I am sure that this is not a hematoma! You have to be aware of the fact that after breast augmentation it is totally natural that there is some degree of asymmetry in the first few months. Give your breasts time to settle! It is also a matter of preop asymmetry, which might become more obvious with breast implants.Just relax and try to get back to normal – you can’t do anything about it right now. Your doctor was right by tellung you not to massage – a recent large study showed…
