After graduating with high honors from Wabash College in Indiana, Dr. Wendel earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his general surgery residency at the University of South Florida, and attended the University of Michigan for his plastic surgery fellowship.

Dr. Wendel is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
