He frequently shares his expertise in peer-reviewed articles and textbooks, and has published more than 200 pieces in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Mustoe holds board positions at esteemed medical publications, including Journal of the American College of Surgeons and Wound Repair and Regeneration. He also holds four United States patents related to wound healing and scar treatments, with two more patents pending.

Dr. Mustoe graduated with his bachelor’s and medical degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, respectively. After completing his internship in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, he pursued residencies in three unique specialties: General Surgery, Plastic Surgery (both at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston), and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (at Harvard’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear teaching hospital in Boston). He is double board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Mustoe has been honored with many prestigious awards, including a lifetime achievement award from the Wound Healing Society, and being named one of America’s top doctors by Castle Connolly 16 years in a row. He has held leadership positions at several esteemed industry organizations, including a role as treasurer and a member on the board of directors of The American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a past president of the Wound Healing Society.

Yes , a facelift will tighten the skin which will improve the wrinkles but not eliminate them. Laser resurfacing done in combination with enhance the results. However some of the wrinkles are due to loss of skin elasticity and with facial expression and muscle contraction it is inevitable that some wrinkling will occur. There is no treatment that will enhance skin elasticity.

Yes. I have previously done a facelift on a patient after weight loss in her 20s and she was very happy, and a number of patients in their 30s . I do think technique and experience are important. For a natural long lasting result I feel strongly that the best outcome Woukd be with a deep plane facelift.

You do have early howling and some minkr laxity in the neck. A lower facelift (deep plane) woukd give a long lasting and natural result. A transconjuctival lower lid blepharoplasty with fat grafting g along the orbital rim or fat grafting alone would improve your lower eyelids with incisions or changing eyelid shape. An in person consultation Woukd be necessary to judge whether an upper blepharoplasty is worth it: but the improvement would be subtle u any case.

The best solution is bilateral breast lift , left breast reduction and bilateral breast implants of different size. Your aerola are large and you right breast has dropped some. With that combination you shoukd be able to get good symmetry although not complete of course. I don’t think you can good symmetry without implants but the size is flexible depending on your desires.

Yes you are an excellent candidate for a lower lid blepharoplasty vi a transconjuctival approach which will not change your eyelid shape. Regarding your upper eyelids an inlet do consultation Woukd be necessary. In some patients a temporal browlift can achieve their desired result but directly changing eyelid shape with surgery of the actual eyelid runs a major risk of looking unnatural.

Your supratip swelling interferes with the aesthetic result but I Would not characterize the appearance as a Polly beak deformity which also implies inadequate tip support. However , at this long after surgery it is likely to be scar tissue that will not resolve. A series of steroid injections can sometimes help but it is likely you will need a revision surgery for an optimal outcome

You have a thin face, and in my 30 year experience with fat transfer for optimal results most people feel the need to augment every 3 years but the results are natural. You have some skin laxity and some form of midface lift or lower facelift is something you need to consider in the next few years. Volume addition cannot overcome skin laxity unless the volume added is so much that it risks changing your facial shake in an unnatural way.

A lot depends on how large you want to be. With a relatively large implant you could probably get a good result without a vertical scar lift but if you want to be moderately larger you need to consider a vertical scar mastopexy. Bemelli corcumareolar incisions are limited in their impact and the scars are often not very good.

I would be very cautious about recollect blepharoplasty. The malar puff you have is difficult to treat is not due to skin excess but rather swelling underneath. Filler can sometimes cause that problem. I Would make every attempt to dissolve and then consider fat grafting plus laser. Unfortunately you have a very difficult problem.
