I would recommend under. You have very little cover for the implant and would also be in a more ripple prone plane with a higher risk of capsular contracture in front. Exercise, working out and weightlifting are essentailly non-factors in deciding unless you are a very serious bodybuilding/figure competitor.

It's not. The purported difference is less blood loss. Because there is typically only maybe a total blood loss of one drop using a scalpel it is not meaningful. Recover does not depend on scalpel versus laser.In the words of one of my former southern mentors - "Son, a difference has got to MAKE a difference to BE a difference".

Prices vary. In my practice there would be a difference since in the "pinch" there is less work, risk, supply cost, time. etc. In the pinch, there is simply some superficial skin(sometimes muscle) removal. In a full blepharoplasty, deep fat is also removed or repositioned. Totally different.

There is no way for us to know if you will be happy with the final size no matter what implant was chosen. In terms of the scars, they look well positioned since they will "rise" as the implants stretch the lower pole out over the next few months. Be patient.

In first time breast augmentation of "normal" sizes this is very uncommon - on the order of single digit percentage. Unfortunately, we cannot predict ahead of time who this would happen to. It is quite common to have temporary change/loss of sensation due to the tissue manipulation and swelling.

It is still a bit early to know. The residual swelling above the scar is the last to resolve and this occurs slowly over MANY months. If you remain disatisfied, it would require an examination to determine what, if anything could be done. We evaluate excess fat for removal, excess skin for removal and/or muscle separation for plication. Note - if the muscle is lax, then plication does not improve this - that is "patienet responsibility".

Any consideration for revisions should wait at least 4-6 months - or longer - after surgery. There are simply too many changes happening to make a sound judgement let alone achieve a predictable result with surgery. Imagine building a house on settling ground.

When asked this question, I always ask the patient - "until you can do what?".For my patients without muscle plication, if the surgery is normal and the recovery is normal and the drains are out I allow them to drive after 5-7 days and do whatever they want after two weeks. That does not mean they are comfortable doing whatever they want nor are they fully recovered cosmetically.

Most patients who require a breast lift wear a bra that "sizes" larger than their actual breast volume. Most patients, when having a breast lift only end up wearing a smaller bra size after the surgery - some times even two cup sizes or more. The "size" of the implant is whatever you need to achieve your desired result.

The picture shows bruising. While this is certainly more than normally expected, it may or may not be related to the presence of a hematoma. Typically a hematoma causes enlargement of one breast and most commonly also has more pain on that side. Your surgeon is in the best position to accurately diagnose this.

You do have a short nipple to fold distance which limits the diameter of the implant used. It is advantageous that you only want a small amount of volume increase.. There is really not much, if any, long term cosmetic advantage to using a shaped implant and there are some disadvantages. It will be very important for you to remain open-minded about your options and to have a consultation/examination with one or more board certified surgeons to formulate your plan.

I would predict that you would be far happier with a lift. You could choose to also do implants if you wanted. The reshaping of the inferior pole (at a minimum) requires a lift.
