Hello Jo1001,Yes, it is possible to do all zirconia implants for single implants, but we don’t usually recommend them for patients. Research has found that because the implant and abutment have to be one piece with a zirconia, there is then no flexibility, there is no give which can cause issues in down the road.

Hello Wic,An examination with X-rays or CT scan are necessary to determine the best course of treatment. If you’re continuing to lose bone and wait too long, you may prohibit yourself from dental implants in the future.

Hello ptpjmp,Without an exam and X-rays it’s difficult to say exactly what’s happening. I can say that after any type of crown delivery you may experience excess cement coming out. If the area become irritated I would go in to see your dentist. As long as nothing because inflamed or bothersome, this is a typical experience after a delivery of a crown.

Hello Rocco88,Yes, it is safe to have unexposed implants in your jaw. Depending on the case we sometimes leave implants unexposed to ensure proper healing. This allows for pressure to be alleviated from those implants and helps to heal.

Hello,If you were getting full upper and lower dental implants, then yes, all of your remaining teeth would be extracted. A rule of thumb is that you want to keep your natural teeth if at all possible, this is always better than taking them out. Make an appointment with a dental implant specialist and discuss your options. Many offices, such as ours, offer free dental implant consultations.Good luck.

There certainly can be some pain and discomfort, especially only an hour after surgery. Take your pain meds as directed and make sure to take the next round BEFORE you start to feel the effects of the last round wear off. If you take your meds after you’re starting to feel pain, it’s probably going to hurt as the medicine needs some time to circulate through your body and start working.If the throbbing continues for a few days, then it would be prudent to see your dentist.Good luck!
