Breast Implant Sizing

Although it is difficult to comment on individual patients without a proper exam and measurements, what can be said that the smaller implants and less projecting implants will provide a more natural breast silhouette, especially for someone as petite as your self.

It is important for you to consult with a couple/few board certified plastic surgeons who perform many breast implant procedures.

Implant sizing

You seem to be a good candidate to consider augmentation. The first step is to schedule a consultation w/ a trusted plastic surgeon.

He/she will be able to guide you on implant sizes/styles that would best suit you.

Cleavage can be tricky sometimes, because much of it depends upon your anatomy, but they will help you w/ that as well.

Options?

I think most surgeons would agree that it is best to complete your weight loss and get to a stable weight that you can maintain before embarking on a surgery. As for the breasts, the weight loss has left you with loose skin and loss of volume of the breasts.

You will likely require a breast lift, to reposition the nipple on the breast and an implant will be necessary to provide some volume that you have lost. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area and you will come up with a plan that is best suited for you.

Moderate plus profile is a good compromise

Generally, it is volume of implant rather than its profile is meaningful criteria. However short answer to your question is 350 cc moderate plus.
Breast lift and breast implants work to correct breast asymmetry.

1) Without having examined you, I would say your doctor’s plan is often effective in correcting breast asymmetry, even in the long run.

2) The key steps are an internal breast lift, adequate correction of your right tubular breast, and putting the breast implants over the muscle.

Too big?

Your surgeon has likely done careful measurements of your breast, and has picked an implant that your body should be able to accommodate, while giving you the result you desire. If you have a wider breast, and the implant is a lower profile, you may be ok with that size.

Having said that, my initial reaction was similar to yours, that it seems like it may be too big. I would discuss this again with your doctor, and if you feel like your doctor isn’t listening to you or is pushing you into something you don’t want, you are always able to get another opinion from another surgeon in your area.
2 weeks postop

You are only 2 weeks after surgery, so you are likely still very swollen. It can take 4-8 weeks for your swelling to subside. Some say it can take 3-6 months for the swelling to resolve depending on the technique utilized in your surgery.

Please followup with your PS as scheduled. wishing you a speedy recovery.

I would like a natural appearance with more fullness on the bottom of the breast. Is this possible with an A-cu

Yes, possible to achieve the desired result. But best to seek ONLY IN PERSON evaluations from boarded PSs in your city/state.

Increase in cup size

It really depends on your frame. 150cc is a small implant, and sometimes more volume is required if you are starting with very little breast tissue.

I haven’t seen any clinical successes

The Brava system has been around for several years and the initial enthusiasm about it greatly subsided when the clinical results were so minimal. There was a plastic surgeon in Seattle using the system and I have placed implants in a few of his former Brava patients who were unimpressed that they got anything from the Brava system.

Should Patient Massage Breast Implants?

Find out what your plastic surgeon says. If you have textured implants, you shouldn’t massage. Otherwise your surgeon is very likely to recommend it. I my own practice, I recommend my patients with smooth implants massage to maintain their results.

What to Watch for When Your Implants Get Smaller

If you have saline implants and they seem to be getting smaller you may have experienced a rupture; however since both implants have reduced in size equally and have not fully deflated, I doubt that this is the case.

Most likely, the decrease in size of your breasts is due to weight loss and or hormones. Since it has only been a year since your surgery, perhaps they have settled into place now and do not have as much fullness up top, creating the visual of larger breasts.

Under the Muscle, Generally

Most of my breast augmentation patients are primarily concerned with natural-looking results, and I’ve had a lot of chances to explore various options. In general, I’ve found that submuscular placement typically creates the most natural-looking results.
This is because it better enables the patient’s own breast tissue to retain its natural shape. However, this isn’t a hard-and-fast rule. Like most guidelines in the world of plastic surgery, the recommendation for implant placement is highly subjective and can be influenced by the patient’s own anatomy, her preferences, and the type of implants she chooses.

Will an implant be enough to correct droop?

Unfortunately, the short answer is no. You have fairly severe ptosis (droop) and a lift is the only way to correct that. The good news is that your nipple and areola are staying connected to a mound of breast tissue so many of my patients are still able to successfully breastfeed if and when they do have children.

Natural look implants
500 cc implants might look large to people in the midwest but normal in Dallas or Los Angeles. You will also find different opinions on high profile vs moderate high profile and a natural look.

Generally the wider the implant the more cleavage you will get. I would rely more on your PS then the internet for sorting out all the information.
