Dr Armando Soto Breast Augmentation Prices
Am I candidate for breast augmentation ?
You appear to be a good candidate for breast augmentation. An in-person consultation will be the best way to determine if you can achieve your goals.
Breast implant measurements depend on your chest and breast dimensions. It is always best to choose a board certified plastic surgeon that you are comfortable with before deciding to undergo surgery.
Choosing the right breast implant
You have a very wide separation between the breasts. I don’t know just how many cm your chest wall is on each side, but having done thousands of these, I am going to say that probably the base dimension of a 375HP implant is too narrow for your chest and you will look like two tennis balls with a mile between.
I would make absolutely sure the base width of the implant is right for you as the most important determining factor in a good result. Then choose the profile depending on how full you want to look.
Timing of breast augmentation after breast feeding
Generally speaking three months is a reasonable period of time for the changes associated with breast feeding to resolve. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate you and educate on the procedure and the implants available to you.
Breast Lift with Implants
First of all, yes, you are correct. You should not be making any final decisions while you are still breastfeeding. I advise my patients to wait at least 6 months after stopping breast feeding to undergo any type of breast procedure.
Best you wait until you are finished breastfeeding and then meet with a qualified plastic surgeon
Lift or not
You would clearly benefit from a lift as your nipples are pointling to the floor and an implant alone of any size will not change that .
Breast lift for a non-tuberous breast
I vote no, your breast is not tuberous. You have breast ptosis with the nipple pointing down toward the floor. A vertical breast lift will bring the nipple up front and center on the breast and give a very attractive result.
A small implant would help with fullness in the upper part of the breast, though if you are not interested in more volume, the lift alone will work quite well
Silicone Gel and Joint Pain
What were the most researched and studied devices in the history of this country? Heart valves? Artificial knees or hip joints? heart defibrillators? No. No. and NO. Spurned by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now known as the American Association for Justice, [it would be funny — if it was not so pathetically sad.]), the most heavily studied and scrutinized devices in the history of the USA’s FDA have been breasts implants.
Devices that while they bring comfort to millions do not save lives. In the thousandS of studies performed in the USA and other countries, no peer reviewed, well-designed study has shown ANY connection between ruptured silicone gel filled breasts implants and autoimmune diseases, joint diseases, breast cancer etc.
Consider this: Diabetics who depend on Insulin injections to maintain their sugar levels have high levels of silicone in their blood because all syringes on the market are prelubricated with Silicone gel to allow movement of the piston within the syringe.
Countless medical devices and catheters are silicone coated. If you are going to NOT have silicone gel implants — pick a valid reason. This is NOT it.
Post op Visits
In general, the post operative visits are included in the surgeon’s fee. Check with your surgeon regarding his policy on this.
Gummy Bear Breast Implants vs Saline or Silicone
Gummy bear implants refer to highly cohesive implants that has the advantage that if the shell ruptures that the gel within will not leak out. Patient selection is key for these implants, and the available shapes are not appropriate for all patients.
Consult with 3 experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeons to understand your options, and choose the surgeon and surgical plan that best fits your needs/objectives.
If I have breast implants that are under the muscle, can they be taken out and be placed over muscle?
The answer technically is yes as long as the old pocket is closed off and temporally drained but the question is why you would need to or wish to do it. Meet with an ABPS board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
All you can stuff in Breast Augmentation
I agree with my other colleagues. The cynical comment that “Life is a fatal process” has never been more apt. Whenever one is in doubt, all you have to do is observe NATURE and let it guide you.
Skin while lovely in infancy and pre-teen years, rarely keeps is resiliency and smoothness in our later years. Its pliability and tightness become compromised by exposure to light radiation and the process of aging. As we age, our skin thins, droops, wrinkles and becomes courses.
Large implants stretch the overlying skin and compress the breast tissue so hard to the point where it LITERALLY goes away (atrophies). The soft tissue cables (Cooper’s ligaments) anchoring the young breast to the chest wall giving it its bounce are gone and the breasts droop ever faster.
The thinned skin gradually loses its normal blood circulation further accelerating these unsightly and UNCORRECTABLE changes. The results are often implants which are clearly visible through the skin which one day become exposed by a minor injury forcing removal of the implant and a harrowing breast reconstructive challenge to the surgeon which will never be satisfactory to the patient.
Although SOME surgeons MAY be tempted to put such implants in for “bragging rights”, the vast majority of my colleagues, as demonstrated on this board, will be loath to take advantage of such a silly woman by knowingly deforming her.
Uneven Breasts
It is not unusual for one breast to be larger than the other. The difference may be hardly noticeable to as much as a several cup size difference. As a plastic surgeon, I rarely see a patient without some degree of breast asymmetry.
There may be a shape difference (round on one side and teardrop on the other) as well as a size difference. When considering breast implants, it is important for both the patient and the PS to be aware of any pre-existing asymmetries that may affect the aesthetic outcome.
Some breasts just need a lift…
Your breasts will look worse, not better, if you simply choose to get implants. Many ladies come into the office with the same exact concerns that you have. They do not want scars.
Lifts are more expensive. They are afraid of the recovery. That being said, an implant alone will not “lift” the breast when the nipple is lower than the level of the crease like yours are.
You need a lift to remove excess skin and tissue and reposition the nipple. In fact, you might be better served by having a staged procedure of lifting the breast and then getting an implant in a second procedure as this is often safer when your breasts are very low positioned like this.
I would highly recommend meeting with several board certified plastic surgeon and having them explain the differences between lifts and implants.
Unfortunately one surgeon in this area who is a “cosmetic” surgeon often does put implants in ladies that start with your appearance and they end up even more unhappy and seeking a second surgery down the road to fix the “bigger, droopy” breast.
Breast implants and lift
An implant will help restore proportionality and volume to your breasts. As for the lift, it is difficult to discern with certainty just from photos. It could certainly go either way. There is no substitute for a physical exam.

Will an implant replaced my lost fullness and not increase my sag?
The first part is easy to answer. A breast implant will replace your lost fullness and can restore you back to the size you were before children or even larger than that if you so desire.
The question is what will happen to your breasts after surgery? Gravity is not your friend.
The larger (and heavier) the implants and the looser the skin and tissues, the more you breasts will “sag” over time. To get a better idea of what to expect you should seek a consultation with a plastic surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and preferably also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.
