There can be occasions when needing to remove a crown from the abutment support that requires drilling a hole into the crown. But this appears to be a new crown that was cemented on to an abutment that resulted in open contacts, I would ask my lab to replace the crown rather than add porcelain to the contacts after placing a hole in the new crown.
