All on 4 Best Looking
Apr 22, 2017
Joel,
We make All on 4 bridges out of two different materials, and both can be very natural looking:
1) Acrylic fused to a titanium frame: Very nice looking, but over the years the acrylic can chip and wear and require repair and replacement. 2) Zirconia: Very strong and seldom chips or needs repair – currently cost more than the acrylic.
Pain on new perm crowned tooth, what do I do?
New crown
Apr 22, 2017
ZommBrii,
It sounds like the new crown may be high, or touching the opposing tooth too soon. Sometimes, just cleaning out an old filling, and doing a crown preparation can make the tooth sensitive which can subside over time. I would recommend seeing your dentist immediately, and let them adjust the bite on the new crown. Also, teeth that persist in being sensitive over a long period can require a root canal.

Missing cuspids
Apr 22, 2017
Luke, Sometimes the bicuspid behind the missing cuspid can be reshaped and moved into the proper position with orthodontics (braces). Also, porcelain veneers can be used to change the appearance. It looks like the lowers are crowded – there is a space issue. I would see a dentist that works closely with an orthodontist and let them work out a plan to alleviate the crowding and esthetic issues with the missing teeth.
Having pain after root canal – permanent crown/capping?
New Crown after Root Canal
Apr 21, 2017
Kiranaleem, Most molars that have had root canals need a crown to protect the tooth from cracking. You could have a temporary crown placed on the tooth to protect it now. Then, in several weeks if the pain is still there, see a root canal specialist for his opinion. I would not place the permanent crown if the tooth is still having symptoms.
How is better to make porcelain crowns one by one, or tie multiple crowns together?
Splinting Crowns Together
Apr 21, 2017
Jasti, The only reason you would want to splint crowns together is if the teeth were mobile or slightly loose. This treatment is considered as a last resort to save teeth, but can be risky as you could lose one of the teeth, and the crowns may have to be remade. If your teeth are solid and without periodontal disease, then the crowns should be made separately. Please see your dentist and ask their opinion.
Zirconium vs. Titanium. Which would you recommend?
zirconium vs titanium
May 9, 2015
I assume that you are referring to dental implant abutments. Zirconium which is white, is usually used in the esthetic zone, that is, where you can see when you are smiling in the front. If titanium is used, sometimes you can see the metal through the gum, or if the gum recedes over time you will see metal. Titanium is stronger. So, we use titanium on the back teeth areas where there is more force with chewing.
What can i do to my front teeth.
Front Teeth: How Much?
Mar 28, 2015
That is a good question. From you photo you have very large decays on all of your front teeth. You will need to see a dentist as soon as possible for an evaluation of your condition. They will need xrays to determine the extent of the decay. The dentist will also look at your gum health, and determine why you have so much decay in the first place. Do not delay on getting to a dentist. If you wait any longer, you may lose the teeth. At the evaluation,…
