Cross Nerve Graft for Restoration of Sensation
Feb 3, 2023
Cross mental nerve graft has the potential of helping patients (restoration of sensation of the lip and other anatomical regions. This procedure currently available for nerve reconstruction involves microsurgery, it is a procedure called cross-face nerve grafting, a technique that uses a nerve branch from the contralateral side of the face (intact mental nerve), or other nerves, such as the inferior alveolar nerve, “connected” to a nerve graft and coapted to the damaged nerve. I recommend…
Mental health affected over cleft lip and nose: what can I tell my doctors so they can
Cheiloplasty (cleft lip repair) + Primary Nasal Correction Surgery
Feb 3, 2023
Do considering having a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Most of the times, many other health care specialists are involved in the treatment of a Cleft Lip And Palate, such as Orthodontics. Most of the times, for adult patients (who have not undergone a surgery ever), a combined procedure can be performed, with cheiloplasty (lip surgery) and primary nasal correction (nose surgery). The health care group also takes into consideration if there is also a…

Craniofacial Reconstructive Surgery
Feb 3, 2023
There are several procedures that can help patients with craniofacial asymmetry due to cancer, AVM, Hemifacial Microsomia, trauma sequelae, burn contracture, etc. Some of the procedures help with the soft tissue, others deal with muscle re-suspension, and others are designed for the calvarial sequelae (skull-bone). A patient usually needs a CT Scan with 3D reconstruction, along with a full clinical evaluation in order to determine the best surgical approach. Some patients may need also…

Breast augmentation and thrombophilia – how fast can I resume it after?
Multidisciplinary team needed.
Feb 2, 2023
Before undergoing any surgical procedure, a patient with an hematologic disorder, must have a consultation with several Health Care providers, that means, a multidisciplinary team is of utmost importance. Plastic Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, and Hematologist, once the patient is evaluated clinically (and with specific blood studies), the specialists can determine what is best for the patient, including preoperative preparation, trans-operative monitoring, and also, post-op immediate and long…
Is it safe to buy botox online?
Would not recommend it
Feb 2, 2023
I would not recommend it at all. I suggest you make an appointment with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or a Dermatologist. A professional health care provider is able to perform a full clinical evaluation and establish the treatment a given patient needs. Botox treatment (facial aesthetics, migraine, hyperhidrosis, TMJ, etc) should be provided only by the aforementioned specialists. Would definitely not recommend at all getting botox elsewhere.
