Dr Chris Moss Breast Augmentation Prices

Breast augmentation choices

Under the muscle placement is a good choice for a thin patient with les than 3cm of tissue pinch in the upper pole of the breast. However, you will need to disuss with your surgeon the level of sports that you play.

In general hardcore athelete are better off being above the muscle. When it comes to size it is important to have all your measerements. 175cc Seems to be a very small implant. Try them on first to see if this is what you have in mind.

Implant size

250 cc implants ar really quite smal even for California beer active surgeons. I would provably go for the 300 coolants which really are still pretty concervative in size.

Avid Ironman distance Triathlete 5’7- 150lbs, athletic build wanting breast augmentation.

Depends upon the degree of competition you do. I might recommend above the muscle if so competitive….

Breast lift is your best option.

Your breasts appear to demonstrate grade 3 ptosis with large nipple-areolar-complexes. The best solution is to undergo a mastopexy with downsizing of the areolae and lower pole volume reduction and/or transposition of lower pole redundancy to the upper pole.

Breast augmentation. Could I get away with 225cc?

The choice of which implant to use is based on the patient’s expectations, and anatomy. It is important for the patient to have an idea of what they would ultimately “look” like. This should be clearly communicated to your surgeon.

Your surgeon should do a thorough physical examination that will help identify any asymmetries, and potential areas that may need to be addressed. During your consultation with your surgeon you should have had several measurements done.
These measurements help guide which implant size is appropriate one for each particular patient. You should also have discussed the various types of implants: saline, silicone, and gummy bear. When looking at the photos that you posted, your right breast is larger and is lower than your left breast.

The image of the “look” that you want shows a woman with a breast lift. If this is the “look” that you desire and are ok with the scars then you may need a mastopexy augmentation.

If you are not comfortable with the recommendations of your surgeon, you should get a second opinnion from a board certified plastic surgeon.

Implant rupture from physical activity

Saline and silicone implants are very sturdy devices. The outer shell is quite resilient to compression and activity. It is very unlikely that you would be able to rupture an implant from even strenuous activity or compression.
Certain cases have been reported such as an unrestrained driver in a car accident whose chest hits the steering wheel. However these are quite rare. Much more commonly, the implants rupture due to “fold flaws.” This is similar to how a paperclip breaks with repeated bending in one spot. The ruptures due to fold flaws take many years to develop. So rest assured, if you have implants or are considering implants, the chances of you accidentally rupturing them is quite low.

Saline Implants on Top of Muscle

Saline implants are generally placed beneath the chest muscle which is accompanied by more discomfort initially. In some women with signicant amounts of breast tissue pre-op, a good result can be attained with saline implants over the muscle.

In general, however, this is associated with a higher incidence of visible wrinkling of the implants.

Am I too Old for Breast Augmentation?

Your overall state of health is much more important than the number of years since you were born. If you are healthy and feel augmentation of your breasts would make you happier with your appearance, there should be no reason to prevent you from proceeding.
Please read the following advice on finding a surgeon and experience you will be happy with long term.

Unhappy with implant size

The most common reason why women have another operation after breast augmentation is because the size is not right and this dissatisfaction is equally split between feeling too big and too small. At 10 weeks after surgery, your body is just starting to adjust to the implants.

It takes a minimum of 3 months for swelling to resolve, and it takes between 3 and 6 months for your breast tissue (and the muscle if your implants are sub muscular) to stretch and accommodate the new implant.

I would give yourself a little more time, at least 3 to 6 months, before making the decision to change the size of your implants. This will also allow you to be more clear about exactly what you want to change, how much of a size increase you want, and improves the chances that you will be completely satisfied with the new results.
Talk to your plastic surgeon about your concerns but understand and be patient that your body needs more time to heal before making any decisions.

Breast expectations with augmentation

Your goals are realistic but will your result be exactly that? I only can guarantee my patients that they will be bigger and fuller. Of course patients can manipulate their implants after surgery to better achieve the result they desire but everyone has a different idea of what ‘perfect’ is.

My own goal is to achieve a result that allows one to go topless with confidence and if that is achieved, I am happy. I just don’t know if I could achieve your desired result to match those photos.

Large breast implants

Choosing the right size implant for you takes a very thorough exam during a consultation and a long discussion about the pros and cons of the different types of implants. Whether you can “fit into” a DD implant is difficult to say without examining you.
Silicone vs Saline – Which One Is Better?

Silicone beats saline every day of the week. Saline implants ripple, especially on someone with as little breast tissue as you have. Also, saline implants have a valve, and over time, all valves leak. Therefore, saline implants have an expiration date where silicone implants don’t.

If you were my patient, I would place your silicone implants partially subpectoral and go through the armpit (transaxillary) as it leaves minimal to no scar in a location where no one, not even your mother, has ever looked.

I would use round implants because teardrop implants tend to rotate leaving a very deformed looking breast, and teardrop implants require augmentation through an incision below your breast (inframammary) which is very unattractive. Textured implants, because of their propensity to pull skin bacteria along with them, have a greater chance of going hard (capsular contracture) than smooth implants.
Fortunately, you live in Melbourne, one of my favorite places in the world, and you have some of the best Board Certified plastic surgeons. I recommend that you consult with at least three of the many excellent plastic surgeons in Melbourne, AU.

Cost for downsizing breast implants

Every case is different of course but your plastic surgeon has probably given you good advice about not just removing the implants. Breasts change as a result of having implants, so they don’t just revert back to the original shape when they are removed, and it is difficult to reshape them sometimes.

Our “rule of thumb” here is that a noticable change is around 100 cc, so the breasts should look smaller going from 350 to 250.

Seeing your final results takes time.
Typically, the initial post-surgical swelling causes patients to feel that their breasts are larger than they’d expected immediately following surgery.

As the implants drop and the swelling subsides, the breasts tend to settle into a more natural appearance and a slightly smaller size due to the decrease in swelling.

However, the definition of the breasts will improve as your breasts heal from surgery, and this may help you feel better about your proportions. I recommend waiting a minimum of six months before you judge your breast augmentation outcome.

You can always swap your implants for a larger size in the future, but wait until all healing is complete and you’ve had a chance to adjust to your new breast size before drawing any conclusions.
