Does Having Crowns Cause Bad Breath?
crowns causing bad breath
Mar 5, 2013
It is not the crown itself that can cause the bad breath. If the crown shape traps food you may develop an odor around the crown if your home care isn’t sufficient to keep it clean. A waterpik works great for cleaning around crown and bridge work. If you are having odor and you are able to keep it clean, call your dentist and have him check it. If there is leaking, you could be developing decay around the crown.
Consequences of Not Addressing Extracted Teeth?
consequences
Mar 5, 2013
Doing nothing is always an option when extracting a tooth/teeth. If you have teeth opposing the ones coming out will be affected if you do nothing though. What we typically see is the tooth/teeth below begin to errupt more. Teeth like to continue to errupt until they come to contact with something, if there is nothing to oppose them they will continue until they get loose and need to be removed, or until they touch the gums above them. I am not sure what you mean by a…
Can I Eat Oats Mixed Vanilla Protein Whilst Completing at Home Teeth Whitening?
Fine to eat oats
Mar 5, 2013
Yes, you should be fine to eat oats with vanilla protein. The object is to avoid anything that would stain. Colored soda, teas, coffee, wine, etc… are examples of things to avoid. If your oats with vanilla are colored you may want to avoid them for now. It sounds like you are doing a good job avoiding the staining foods and liquids though, keep it up during your whitening process and you should be fine.
On the 15th Day of Previously Placed Implant #5, After Pain Suffer, Implant Failed. Is Safe to Do Aga
Safe to redo implant
Feb 11, 2013
I would make sure the bone has had plenty of time to heal, 3-4 months will probably be sufficient. After proper healing it would be safe to place another implant. Failures don’t happen often, but they do happen. Sometimes the body just needs a little more healing time before placement.
What is the Average Cost of an E-max or Zirconium Crown?
Crown Cost
Feb 5, 2013
It will vary from dental office to dental office and where you live. It usually depends on their overhead costs. In our office the price for a E-Max and Zirconia crown is the same. Our price is in the mid to low range of crown cost in our area, we typically see prices from $800 to $3000. Ask around, chances are you have a few friends that have had one of these crowns who can give you a recomendation for a dentist in your area. The most important thing is to…
Highly Decayed Canine Now With Temporary Crown is Throbbing?
Pain after dental work
Jan 28, 2013
Whenever removing a large amount of decay, there is always the risk of involving the pulp (the nerve). You don’t always have to enter the nerve of the tooth to require a root canal, sometimes just the trauma of removing tooth and decay can cause enough of an issue to cause irreversible pulpitis – meaning the nerve is inflammed and will not get better on it’s own. Please see your dentist as soon as you can to have it evaluated. If a root canal is needed it is best to take…
Question About Crest White Strips?
Whitening strips
Jan 23, 2013
Our office has been using a form of whitening strips for a couple years now. While with most patients we see great results, there are a few that require a different product to achieve their whitening goals. Sometimes the best option is to go with either an in office whitening such as zoom, or whitening trays with gel. One other note I’d like to make is this, we often don’t see the changes to ourself due to the fact it happens gradually. Your teeth may have become…
