Thanks for asking about drains and a Tummy Tuck. We place drains to help the body in removing the excess fluid that will accumulate after your procedure. Generally, they will remain in around 2 weeks. When they are ready to be removed, it is a quick pull that stings for a second. Thank you for your question regarding 650 cc implants. To obtain a pleasing result you will most probably need a lift with the implants. When the nipple/areolar area is below the natural breast crease then a breast lift will reposition the nipple in the center of the breast. The implant will then give you volume at the top of the breast which I would place under the muscle. Good luck.

Thank you for a great question! There are many patients like you that have fibrocystic breasts but you are still a candidate for Breast Augmentation surgery. The technique I use is placing the implant behind the muscle through an armpit incision which means the implants are never in contact with breast tissue. Prior to surgery, we will have you obtain a current mammogram to make sure you are a safe, healthy patient. Good luck.

Thank you for your questions and photos. Generally a patient will need a lift if the areola is below the natural breast crease. According to your pictures, a breast augmentation will probably give you a great result. Saline implants placed behind the muscle will give you the volume you are lacking. Thank you for your question. Flabby arm skin can be removed but this is not used to enhance the buttocks. Adipose tissue (fat) is what is needed to contour the buttocks which is usually obtained by liposuction of the abdomen or back. You need a large volume of fat to transfer to make a visible difference. Brachioplasty can be performed to give you non-flabby arms. Good luck.

Patients that are at risk for DVT can still have a tummy tuck with the proper clearance. I usually have the patient visit with their hematologist for a work up and advice to help protect you during your recovery. We routinely use Lovenox after surgery and have our patients use Compression leg devices at home for 2 weeks after surgery. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon and good luck.

Patients having their breast implants exchanged and a breast lift procedure will need at least 3 weeks recovery time from any type of cardio activities. As for lifting weights, usually 6 weeks is the average time needed for recovery. Best to clarify with your plastic surgeon his/her specific post-op instructions. Good luck.

Congratulations on your accomplishment of losing weight. Your age is not a factor keeping you from having surgery. You are correct in stating that liposuction would not be beneficial as what you have left is excess skin. A tummy tuck procedure would remove the excess skin giving you a smooth abdomen. If you look at your picture and notice that your nipple/areolar complex is located much lower that your natural breast crease which usually means a breast lift is your best option.
