Hello janetzeviera, thank you for your question. EMSculpt will not fix diastasis, unfortunately. I offer patients rectus plication, or sewing the separated rectus muscle back in the midline of the abdomen, as a treatment option for diastasis as part of a full abdominoplasty treatment. Make sure you meet with, and discuss your concerns, with an ABPS-certified plastic surgeon to come up with an operative plan that will be best for you.

I tell patients that I like for them to have a sports bra or soft compression bra after a reduction procedure. My other rule is no underwires for at least one month postop to make sure the crease incision is well-healed.

It’s absolutely normal to have over- or understimulation of the nerves that supply your nipple-areola complex and breast skin and soft tissue after a breast reduction procedure. 15% of all reduction patients will have some degree of nerve change which may spontaneously resolve by 9 to 12 months after the operation.

I agree with the other members of this panel that your best bet is to opt for a procedure where you aren't cutting corners. To limit the type and manner of how you undergo a procedure will potentially limit your results.
