Patients with a tuberous breast deformity should follow a certain procedure approach to get the best results. I have corrected this deformity by placing a highly cohesive silicone implant below the breast and above the muscle. Also an areolar incision and crease lowered is also a part of the necessary components.

Choosing to get a breast lift at the time of the breast augmentation depends on certain measurements, how low are the nipple areola complex is and the goals of the patient. Advantages are better shape, size and positioning of the breast. Disadvantages are the scars placed on the breast. I let my patients know and we take a lot of time prior to the procedure that the recovery can take time. Maybe one year or more and patients often underestimate the recovery time. Sensation after a breast augmentation can be temporary or permanent but I find that almost always the sensation will return with time.
