I am sorry you had this side effect after your treatment. Stimulating the weaker muscle that was treated with botox will certainly help to regain your normal movement. You can try exercising the side of your smile that is still weak by doing exaggerated contractions only on that side a couple of times a day. Botox can certainly help if it placed in strategic areas. You are right! Botox is used to relax certain facial muscles. Botox effect last around 3 months but it differs from person to person. If you keep treated the same muscles with Botox every 3-6 months your will eventually need less units of botox for the same treated areas. Also, the skin folds that usually form in the 11s will be prevented or significantly diminished.

Botox relaxed the muscles. It is most likely your chin will be the same size since the only area we treat on the chin is the mentalis muscles and the chin is formed by many muscles and fat pads that will be unaffected by botox. Botox can make your chin look slightly longer, but I do not think it will be significant.

If the pictures you sent are 2 weeks or more after your last botox treatment, it looks like you need more botox in the frown area. You may want to try telling your provider to add more botox to your Glabella muscle. It has to do with the technique of your injector and the units you are getting.

Hello there!Your concern is valid but, Botox does not work that way at all. Botox main job is to bind to some nerve receptors and block them from around 3 months so the treated muscles do not move as much. Little by little (around 3months) your body will break down the botox molecules and your receptors will be 100% "not blocked" or "free" to move. By then your movement will all be back to how it was before your treatments. If for any reason, you think you still are not moving those treated...
