That being said, if you have a saline implant that is ruptured, you will notice a decrease in the size of your breast as the saline is absorbed by your body. Good question I think you are a great candidate for a breast augmentation. Your nipple areola complex (the nipple itself plus the surrounding darker colored skin) is a little bit enlarged for the size of your breast right now. The Nipple Areola Complex (NAC) diameter can be reduced relatively easily, but it will “cost you” a scar all the way around the NAC. I think this needs to be decided once you have settled on your desired implant size. Good luck on your journey.

I think you can rest assured that your breasts will look plenary “fake”! And the difference between 650 and 700 is negligible. Also don’t forget that “the bigger they are...the harder they fall”!

Why do my 480cc UHP implants seem small?

It is way too early to panic about size. You actually chose pretty large implants for your frame! It does not look like your body would have been able to handle much larger anyway. Please sit tight and let the surgical swelling go down, allow your skin to stretch, and thenimplants to “settle”. The pec muscle is very swollen now and distorts the result. I always tell my patients that your breasts will look like “two weird headlights” for a while. Be patient.

From the photo provided it looks like you would benefit from implant removal or maybe downsizing your implants. Very large implants can be very uncomfortable. I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in implant removal and discuss your options.

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with your breast implants. Based on your concerns and the photos provided, you probably need a smaller implant and a lift in order to achieve the “rounder” and prettier breast that you are looking for. If you are sure you want larger breasts you have to weigh out the risks and benefits of a larger implant. You look like you are pretty young and your skin did well with pregnancies, however, a 750cc implant is quite a bit larger! The largest implant available is 800cc. I would recommend caution.

Generally speaking insurance will not cover removal of implants that were placed for cosmetic purposes. Depending on the situation is MAY be possible to remove a ruptured saline implant under local anesthesia in an office setting, but it is not likely that a ruptured silicone implant can be safely or effectively removed in an office setting.

I usually recommend wearing a snug fitting compression or sports bra after deflation. I dont really think it has any real bearing on how well or how much the skin retracgts. I think that has more to do with actual properties of your breast tissue and skin. I would wear something comfortable and let your breasts "re-accomadate" for 2-3 months. I have seen surprising changes occur.

I honestly think you could go in for a consultation when you are starting to wean your child. It doesnt make sense to see a plastic surgeon when you are exclusively breastfeeding, but at some point you will have an endpoint in mind. An experienced breast surgeon will be able to get a pretty good idea of what your needs will be even if you are still nursing some. Bigger implants will give you similar shapes larger and heavier (and therefore saggier in the long run) breasts. I am not sure what "gap" you are talking about. Your current implants appear to be in perfect position relative to the breast fold and the nipple areola. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your breast augmentation. The short answer is "don't panic" and allow the swelling to go down before you make a rash decision. You may well decide that you don't want the present implants but one week is simply not indicative of how your breasts will look in a couple weeks or a couple months. This is definately not common practice. I am sure that it would void your warranty. Perhaps you misunderstood your surgeon and he/she meant that the plan would be to put back in the same brand and size implant, not the exact same implant. I recommend clarifying this before secondary surgery. Your complication is fortunately unusual but removal of the implant and waiting 3-6 months was the right thing to do sorry about your situation and good luck.

I guess it really depends how much the left capsular contracture bothers you now. The short answer is to wait til you are done with childbearing because that takes away one big risk factor for recurrence of your capsular contracture.
