Does zoom whitening or other laser whitening products damage your teeth or nerves in your teeth?

Good question! Short answer is that Zoom is safe. A study published in the “Journal of Endodontics” evaluated bleached teeth that were then extracted. They looked at the teeth at a few different stages – after an hour of whitening, three days later, 15 days and 30 days. They determined that microscopically (at the cellular level) that bleaching was harmless to the pulp (the inside of the tooth.)

What’s the main difference between Belotero and other fillers? I know it’s thinner.

Good question! Think of it like a car with dents / imperfections. Fillers such as Radiesse and Juvederm can help fix some of the “dents” or more obvious imperfections. Belotero is like getting the car waxed and shined up. Almost like an airbrush treatment in photos – its meant to smooth out areas that just need a touch. Lines around the eyes are a perfect area for this product. Good luck!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!I do not recommend Zoom while you have the Invisalign attachments. You will notice a two-tone effect after the Invisalign “buttons” are removed – you’ll find the color of exposed parts of your teeth are whiter than those that were covered up. Like anything it depends. Generally its recommended to very lightly roughen the tooth surface.  This enables the filling material to stick better.
