Statement: I oversee the procedures that are done at The Skin Clinic North Scottsdale and inject Botox and filler all day. I love what I do because people are excited to come in and excited when they leave. In some cases, it’s instant gratification for them and for me. A friend of mine got me into this 15 years ago and I feel very fortunate to still love what I do! I have seen many patients for years and they are like family to me. When I look at the schedule, it’s fun to see who I get to catch up with each day.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my husband, our 3 children and our dog. I love hiking and enjoying time outside. We live in a beautiful place.

Treatment for asymmetry in my eyes?
Asymmetry
Aug 29, 2017
We are all asymmetrical :) Again, like others have said, it’s hard to say definitively since we cannot see the whole picture. Just looking at your picture, I think that a little Botox could be helpful and create a bit more symmetry.

Faint 11’s

As long as you are not able to create those creases, you shouldn’t need more Botox. I usually recommend staying on top of the Botox every 3-4 months for about a year or so to see a nice softening of the lines. I tell my patients that it takes years to develop those creases so be a little patient and I’m sure you will see them get softer :)
My Botox injections are not lasting as long. Is that true?
Botox not lasting as long
Aug 1, 2017
We haven’t heard any changes from Allergan (the manufacturer of Botox) but sometimes with our patients I have seen it not lasting as long because they are under a higher amount of stress or increased their workout routine. Other than those reasons, we haven’t seen any change in duration with our patients. Hope this is helpful to you.
Do my injections look normal? Will they go down?
Injections looking normal
Aug 1, 2017
It’s completely normal to have swelling after injections. Try not to be too critcal too soon. Give it a chance to calm down (1-2 weeks). Sometimes injection sites may be a little more swollen than other areas making one side look bigger than the other.
Is it okay to get blood work done BEFORE getting Botox?
Bloodwork and Botox
Aug 1, 2017
You should be able to get Botox done before or after getting bloodwork done without any side effects. Even the day before or after :)

Too early for Botox?
Jul 19, 2017
I usually recommend starting Botox when the lines start to stay there when you are not doing that expression. It sounds like its a genetic trait and so I don’t believe that it would be too early to start.
Is it okay to bend down minutes after getting Juvederm fillers in face?
Is it ok to bend down after Juvederm?
Jul 19, 2017
You should be just fine. Juvederm should not move after being injected & bending your head down for a few minutes shouldn’t have done anything damaging :) Swelling can be normal after injections as well.
