You don’t want to disturb the pectorals muscle. If you lift something heavy repeatedly you’re going to open up the bottom and it will fall too low. At 6 weeks the pocket is healed shut so pressure won’t open up the pocket. So no heavy lifting over 10 pounds for 4-6 weeks. I Highly suggest to wait 6 weeks. As always , I would suggest you to speak with your board certified plastic surgeon on your post-operative care.

When it comes to breast augmentations I prefer under the breast for visibility when inserting the implant. When inserting it through the armpit incision it's more likely to be offset or uneven. Thank you for your question.As far as a breast reduction and the swelling I would say about three weeks the breast will be swollen. I usually tell people no heavy lifting for the first few weeks. Also, no driving until after you’ve taken all of your painkillers, which is usually after the first or second week.
