Answer Snippet
Is my crowding mild or moderate? Length of Invisalign treatment?
Tooth crowding
Sep 3, 2015
Your case is definitely in the moderate category of crowding and I would estimate it would require about a year of treatment with Invisalign. You can have impressions/scans/pictures taken by the dentist who is proposing care and submit to Invisalign for a proposal. This is called a clincheck. It would answer many of your questions.Good Luck!
My three front tooth seems longer then the others.
longer teeth in front
Sep 3, 2015
This is an excellant situation to consider Invisalign to align and make these teeth blend with others. There are other possibilities too depending on the situation in your mouth. I reccommend you go to a dentist you trust and have him review the best options for your mouth. Good luck!
What is the next step after going through Invisalign on my upper teeth?
Follow up on Invisalign progress
Sep 3, 2015
It is very wise and reccommended by most Invisalign providers to be seen every 6-8 weeks to check on Invisalign progress. Things can happen including teeth not moving as desired and we do not want problems compounding. Hopefully you are receiving passive aligners for your completed arch. Also regular checks allow for questions and the feel of direction you desire. Tell your dentist you want this. Good luck!
How can my teeth be fixed?
Correcting large looking teeth
Jul 10, 2015
There may be other issues why your teeth now look large such as angle and positioning. they could be reduced in size by slenderizing and invisalign therapy.
Would Invisalign cause more damage to my front tooth that has a stress fracture in it?
Invisalign with cracked front tooth
Jul 10, 2015
Invisalign will most likely cause no further injury and infact the aligner covering the tooth will protect it better. Good luck!
Is it safe to leave cavity under crown?
Dangers of removing decayed crown
Jul 10, 2015
If the tooth is indeed nonsavable and you are not prepared to proceed, taking the crown off becomes a problem. If there is any chance of saving the residual root and placing a new crown, then getting the crown off and cleaning it up right away makes sense. The danger of leaving a crown on until it falls off naturally is that you may swallow or aspirate it when it does drop off. Talk to your dentist as it may be better to take it off if you are going to loose the tooth…
29yrs old. Two protruding teeth. Overbite Invisalign? Metal braces?
Invisalign is a great answer to many adult situations
May 21, 2015
Invisalign works great for many adult overbite/overjet situations. Definitely consider it. It is easier to maintain then traditional braces and much more comfortable and equally effective in many situations. A dark tooth needs an xray to know if it might be abcessed requiring a rootcanal. Internal bleaching could then be done. A porcelain veneer is also an option. Talk to an Invialign trained dentist. Good luck!
