Do GPs or MDs have adequate training to do plastic surgeries?
In UK, any doctors including GP can do surgery

In UK, any doctors including GP can do surgery as long as they are registered with the MC. Since plastic surgery encompass a very diverse field, it is difficult to regulate besides the fact that they are unlikely to get admitting rights in a private hospital to perform larger operations. I do know some GP performing liposuctions under sedations in treatment room setting.
