Like somebody already mentioned, its called micro-etching and it roughens the surface of the veneer. Ideally, those teeth could have been excluded and no attachments placed, but your dentist should be about to polish the surface at the end of treatment.

It is a de-calcified spot. It was caused because you weren’t flossing enough at some point and plaque was sitting between those two teeth. You can get rid of it by doing a simple filling.

I concur with Dr Maddahi. Bonding won’t work as it’ll chip from your grinding habit. Save your money for the veneers. We offer veneers starting at $749/tooth.

Normally Invisalign recommends 3 sets of trays be dispensed at a time. Each tray is worn for 2 weeks. So you see your doctor every 6 weeks for a check and another 3 sets.
Can bonding material keep my front teeth gap closed and improve my appearance?

Bonding is a good option if you want to close the space between teeth, however your front left tooth looks shorter than the right tooth. Adding length with bonding usually isn’t the best option since it WILL chip. I think two porcelain veneers will be more expensive in the short run, they’ll be more durable and more cost effective if you account for the repairs and touch ups that will be needed.

Dental bonding stains. The amount of staining can depend on how well the bonding was done, but mostly it depends on your diet and wether you smoke. Drinks like coffee and red wine are especially bad for bonding.
Keep in mind dental bonding looks it’s best the day you get it and slowly stains and wears after that point. Typically they last 5-10 years. Your bonding has lasted 22 years!
