The question is: Do you like them?? If you like them then they are good. It is hard to tell with these pictures. There are limitations with composite veneers. You will probably have to redo them eventually as composite picks up stain. I think your dentist did a good job. When you are not a poor student, and you need to redo them, you may want to think about porcelain veneers as it will save you money in the long run. Just maintain them the best you can and they should last a long time .

It depends what you are calling the bottom of the tooth?? It would be much easier to tell what you are talking about if you enclosed a picture. What you may be calling the bottom, someone else may call the top??? If you are talking about the biting surface, then you maybe be able to see the post or possibly feel the post. The question why did it need a post?? Many times when teeth are worked on multiple times they become brittle. It could also be that the structural integrity was compromised due to a large amount of dentistry on a single tooth. You have to realize that dentists are trying to save your teeth. I would say unfortunately sometimes this happens.

This is a tough one! Many times the root discolours after a root canal. Does the discolouration show through at the gumline, or is it in the main body of the tooth?? Can you post any pictures? Is it the porcelain does not match the other teeth?? Is it an improvement from what was there before?? I would suggest that you speak to your dentist, and inform him that you are not happy with your current veneer, and see what can be done.

In my opinion go with the Emax veneers. Both emax and zirconia are very hard substances, but the emax will look more life like than the zirconia. Most zirconia I see looks very opaque and not very life like. You also have to worry about the interface between zirconia and porcelain, that is if they layer other porcelain on the zirconia. However, if you have Minimal boneloss veneers could be a great option.
