Hi and thanks for the question. Clear discharge following rhinoplasty happens in anyone undergoing this procedure. This is generally asymmetrical in nature, one side can leak more while the other is completely dry. This is a reactive discharge due to surgical irritation of the mucosa, and will stop soon.

Post-nasal dripping after a rhinoplasty is very common during the first two weeks following surgery. This is generally due to mucosal swelling and consecutive alterations in airflow. As the aeration is not normal and the lining is swollen, fluid entrapments inside the sinuses or inside your nose can easily happen and lead to these symptoms. Decongestent medication can help to heal this situation. No need to worry, this is temporary unless you have a chronic sinusitis.

I have a deviated septum with a bone spur and a hump. Will septoplasty resolve both of these issues? (P

Dear Prettyeyes,
Clinically, the best option is to perform cosmetic and functional nasal surgeries together. However, insurance companies generally don’t cover a septo-rhinoplasty. Some of my patients travelling from european countries have been able to charge a fraction of such a surgical procedure to their insurance companies, but some other have failed to do so. My advice to you is, being ready to pay for a full septo-rhinoplasty procedure yourself, as it is not generally covered.

Thank you for the question. I do not think that your eyelid droopiness deserves surgery. For the lower eyelid, I can say that you have a bit of congenital eyelid retraction, which is correctable by a canthoplasty. In such cases my preference is to employ a canthoplasty together with a temple lift. A temple or temporal lift procedure lifts the whole temple including the brow tails and lateral forehead. Thank you for this important question. My first advice to you is to have a face to face PS consultation for sure, as this is an uncommon and and a bit complicated case. As far as I can get from your pics, the best solution is to have a bigger implant alone for your left side, and a lift together with a smaller implant for the right. I definitely don’t recommend a peri-areolar lift for two reasons:
1. It flattens the breast, and avoids the projection of the nipple-areola complex.
