$8000 isn’t too far off from the industry standard if you are being seen by a highly experienced doctor.You should be able to find a lower cost in metropolitan areas, though, so definitely research that option and perhaps be willing to travel to an area where this specialty is more common.

“Perfect in 2 days” may have been an overstatement.  The tooth and gum should be improving every day and may take up to a full week. Your gum shoudl start ocovering the bone and the base should strengthen within this time; if not, have your doctor take a lookl.
Abandon crown idea? Is implant the only real option? Crack in tooth they can’t see?

If the root canal was performed properly and is doing its job, chances are you may indeed have a cracked tooth. Therefore, the best option would be to abandon the crown.

You definitely need to get the abscess taken care of, as it will only cause you increased pain and infection. If you cannot afford a new bridge, your dentist may be able to remove the abscess from the root tip (called an apicoectomy). Ask your Dr. about this method, as it may save your bridge.
A chunk of my gum is missing?

There are many factors at play here. Usually if the gum has receded by itself it will not come back without the help of a graft procedure. If it’s an acute trauma that involves bleeding, it may grow back on its own. Definitely see your dentist as soon as possible before it worsens. 
Can a newly cemented 4 member bridge be taken off?

The bridge can always be removed if e temporary element was used. If a permanent cement was used, the safest way to remove the bridge would be to cut it.

Cost should range from $1000-2000 but of course that will vary depending on the experi nice level of your dentist and how their rates are set up. You will be quoted per veneer but it’s typically less expensive to go with the entire procedure at once. More visits means more money.
