Wanting a third reduction. Should I see an endocrinologist due to past re
hormones should be considered
Oct 28, 2019
Hello
Re-do breast reductions is not unusual but I tend to see ladies as they get older and after the age of 50. naturally the breast tends to put on more fat in our later years. As you are 33 it does seem that there could be hormonal influences as well. BUT , this would have effect on other things as well, including the monthly cycle, heaviness of the cycle etc. check out all the side effects of any contraceptive medications. A trip to get some blood tests for hormone balance would be…
Would it be possible to get a breast reduction from about a B Cup down to
liposuction and areolar reduction
Oct 28, 2019
Hello, I will try and answer your question.
liposuction is as it says so hence can’t suck up breast tissue. if you have young breasts which will have a lot of breast tissue but saying that the amount that needs to be removed is small to go from a B to an A.
But it depends on your skin about how much retraction you may get. If the breasts are in the correct place (not droopy) then can expect better skin retraction but the areolar will very much stay the same size (ie the…
What’s the difference in removal of breast tissue in grams, between a bre
pound of feathers pound of lead, both weigh a pound but completely different in volume
Oct 24, 2019
I will try and answer your question as I address my patients. it is a case of my title to the answer. young breasts are heavy as they contain more breast tissue, older breasts are lighter as contain more fat. So it is a volume consideration rather than weight. A breast lift is rearrangement of the breast tissue with removal of skin to lift the nipple and breast back to a higher position.
98% of my patients are asymmetric so I tend to remove a slight amount from the…
I’ve been approved for reduction surgery, what would be the ideal amount
Don’t go on weight to be removed
Mar 8, 2019
Hello, the actual breast is made up of different types of tissue and breast tissue is heavier than fat tissue. The younger you are the more heavier breast tissue there is compared to the lighter fat.
I say to patients I can guarantee to make you smaller and a higher nipple position but never give an amount to be excised as this is an unknown quantity. It is all a level of discussion with your surgeon and how small you actually want to be also knowing that all bra sizes are arbitrary…
Fat grafting to breasts and breast tissue
fat transfer to breasts
May 17, 2018
Hello
The fat should be placed just under the skin but going into the breast can happen. It also depends hoe much fat is proposed to be transferred, The fat can also go just above the muscle on the chest wall but more difficult to get into the right place. I would discuss this with your surgeon as pre op MRI scan is also a usual practice before fat injection into the breasts so that a baseline look at the breast tissue is available. It doesn’t damage the breast but fat injections can…
Can my 450cc silicone be smaller than the 335cc saline I had removed?
Things to consider
May 17, 2018
Hello
There are considerations here that need some answers to allow a full comment. The saline I presume were Round and maybe under the breast and how long were they in? and any capsular contracture? which will make them stand out. The goal is to put in replacement implants that are at least 10% larger then those removed and may be more when there is a tight capsule removed. Your implants are well within this range and should still give you more volume. If you have the implant…
How do I remove stitches after breast augmentation? I traveled to have my
stitches in breast augmentation
May 17, 2018
Hello
Im not sure where you would have stitches after having a breast augmentation. If i leave any ends to the stitch there would be a dissolvable stitch at the end of the incision line. this would naturally fall away after 2-3 weeks. If there are non dissolvable sutures then would require some professional help for removal at your local emergency department.
hope this helps
