Breast implants and weight gain over time

The breast implants do not contribute to weight gain over time. Time can change the consistency of breast, (more fatty tissue, less breast tissue). Time will also slow your metabolism, making it harder to lose weight.

The amount of weight gain with breast implants is the amount of cc’s that you put in. If you put in a pair of 500 cc implants, that would be 1000 cc’s. 1000 cc’s = 1 Liter = 2.2 lbs.

That would be your weight gain from the implants.

Saline implant rippling is helped with overfilling and submuscular positioning

You’ve got relatively small implants that are ‘overfilled’ and in the sub-muscular position- as long as you have adequate soft tissue coverage, its unlikely you’ll have issues with rippling. A patient like yourself is exactly the type of woman that I would recommend a silicone implant to.

Wrinkling is less of an issue with silicone implants

You need a breast lift

I think a large implant (750cc) without a lift will give you a poor and disproportionate aesthetic. You have scant soft tissue cover and this implant choice runs the risk of looking like a ball in a sock.

Above or below the muscle is academic here..this implant may start under the muscle but will drop and won’t stay there. I think your aesthetics would improve dramatically by opting for a breast lift and moving to a smaller implant that is proportional to your frame.

If you are confused take the time to do more homework..get a second opinion etc..this is expensive surgery with real operative risks. Don’t move forward until you are happy with the surgical plan.
Droopy breasts

There degree of stretch and droopiness in your breasts usually dictates a lift procedure. Even though the scars are more visible and longer than with implants alone, the shape you achieve with a lift will be much more cosmetic.

Depending on how full you want to be implants can also be added but you might just want a lift alone to improve the shape make sure you get at least two opinions regarding your surgery good luck .

You can have surgery

You need to be followed by your gyn and plastic surgeon. You can have mamograms and can have physical exams. Implants do not cause cancer and it can be diagnosed even with implants in place.

Breast augmentation

The best result in someone who is thin like you would be achieved with submuscular implant placement to minimize rippling, which is possible because you are so thin. Also, I would also urge you to consider the style of implants to be used, as the choice of implants can also help minimize rippling.
You should definitely schedule an in person consultation to discuss these issues in detail.

I know I have a breast deformity, but what kind and how severe is it?

I would find a breast expert in your area to evaluate you and determine what your goals and expectations should be for improvement.

Breast Implants

After 3 weeks having breast implants you can ran without affecting the implants . You can be normal .

Saline vs. silicone implants

If you have enough tissue sitting on top of the implant, then the appearance will be the same. If you are thin, and have minimal breast tissue, then the concern is that you might have rippling on the side or underneath the breast.

Less likely with silicone.

It depends on how much existing breast tissue you have.
Many surgeons and patients alike debate on whether submuscular or subglandular implant placement is better. The truth is, it depends on your natural anatomy. Many patients opt for submuscular placement, and there are a few distinct advantages to this approach.

For one, the muscle is covering your implant so the implant will be less visible and your results may appear more natural. This is especially useful for women with very small breasts who don’t want their results to look artificial.

However, women with moderate breast volume, especially if there is any degree of ptosis (sagging), often do better with subglandular placement (over the muscle). This is because submuscular placement would only push the breast tissue outward, but the breasts can continue to sag from the muscle.
By placing the implant over the muscle, the implant can help to fill out your breast tissue without contributing too much to sagging.

Benefits of Implant Massages

I would recommend speaking with your operating surgeon to see what their specific recommendations are regarding breast massages post-operatively. With that said, I typically begin my breast augmentation patients on breast massages 5-7 days after their procedure.

Breast massages, if done correctly, help to displace the implant within the breast pocket, the benefits of which are extremely important. This massage aids in the prevention of capsular contracture, the over development of scar tissue or capsule that constricts around the implant causing them to become hard and uncomfortable for the patient, and helps to facilitate the settling process of the implants that are placed below the muscle.

Ter vs round

For someone small in size a tear drop can appear more natural, if you are looking for the augmented look smooth round will give it to you .

Which cup size should I go with?

Have you seen a board-certified plastic surgeon yet? Are you done having your children? Are you finished breast feeding and have your breasts finished shrinking? These are a few questions you must ask yourself when deciding on having breast augmentation.

Hopefully your chest wall and breast measurements support the implants sizes that you’ve chosen. If this is the case, I usually recommend that patients choose the slightly larger implant size to offset minor breast volume loss in the first few years after surgery.

A common cause of revision surgery is dissatisfaction with chosen implant size. As long as the 375cc implant fits your measurements, then it should be a good choice long-term. If you haven’t consulted with a board-certified plastic surgeon, then I recommend you do.

Saline versus Silicone

In my opinion, silicone is a much higher quality implant than saline. Saline still has a role in a very young woman who has firm breasts and is likely to need them replaced within 10-15 years.

Implants and breast lift

Implants, no matter what size, position or shape, would never significantly lift sagging breasts. If your nipples are lower than the submammary crease you should consider a proper lift, and only use implants as a way to achieve additional fullness at the top of your breasts.
