Patchy results 11 months post FUE hair transplant – will PRP or a 2nd procedure help?
FUE sessions
Aug 25, 2023
Hi, PRP can help the growth of grafts especially in the first few months, however usually to reach a density such as your own hairs needs at least two session in each area ,usually maximum number of grafts per sqcm is 40-50/cm which is callaed dense packing technique and is not possible in all patients ,but if the hair diamter is good enough ,reaching density about half of normal can have a good coverage .Best luck
10 months post-op hair transplant – will I get more density?
Hair transplant results
Aug 22, 2023
Full results sometimes can be seen about 12 months and sometimes even later ,but vertex area usually needs more than one sesion in order to have a good coverage
PRP causing scar tissue – will it make it hard to get a hair transplant if needed?
PRP scarring
Jul 14, 2022
The likelihood of scarring with PRP if injected with good technique and prepared in sterile condition by an expert injector is very low.
Can I get hair PRP every 2 weeks for the first 5 sessions?
PRP interval
Jul 14, 2022
In general, the interval between PRP sessions is between 4-6 weeks, and doing PRP in shorter intervals can not have better effects, especially considering the fact that PRP is an experimental treatment.
PRP done about a year ago, Should I go for 1 session or 3 ?
PRP maintainance
Jul 14, 2022
It all depends on the severity of hair loss at this time, if there is no hair loss at this time, maybe once or twice per year is enough
Can I maintain my hair with PRP, Minoxidil 5% Laser Light Therapy (irestore) and ketoconazole shampo
hair loss solutions
Jul 14, 2022
All of these options are good for those who experience hair loss but firstly there is no guarantee for the results and secondly, it’s better to see a hair loss doctor and they do a complete evaluation to determine the best possible options.
Why & how could turmeric, bromelain & curcumin ruin results?
stopping some herbal medications before PRP
Jul 14, 2022
The most important reason why we ask patients to discontinue turmeric, curcumin, and bromelain is because of their blood thinning effects also they might have some kind of anti-inflammatory effects such as NSAIDs which may decrease the effects of PRP, but there is not enough research about this.
