Forehead Lines
Feb 6, 2022
Hi, thanks for the question. I agree with the other surgeons that it is difficult to assess the issues from one photo alone. The general rule is that if they worsen as you try to scowl (ie muscle contraction) then Botox in the right place should help. If there is a degree of volume or contour loss then fillers including Hyaluronic acid products or fat injections could help. I would recommend a review with an experienced doctor to assess you face to face.Kind Regards

Keloid Scaring
May 18, 2019
Hi, thanks for your question.
Yes, from your photos, you have post-operative keloid scars. These are a known complication of any surgical procedure and are very difficult to manage. Treatments range from massage, pressure clips, steroid injection, silicone application and in some cases even radiotherapy. Surgery is of course an option but with a high risk of recurrence. Hopefully you will have had good advice following your consultation with a plastic surgeon.
All the best.
What would be best for my tear trough fillers? Juvederm or Restylane? H
Tear Trough Fillers
May 18, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. My practice centres around the Juvederm range of fillers. Tear trough treatments are becoming requested more frequently and each individual requires expert assessment to determine what product to use and how much should be used to get a pleasing result. From a technical aspect, use of a hyaluronic acid filler, which can be reversed and use of a cannula technique for placement accuracy and to minimise complications is to be recommended. Consultation with…

Fillers for asymmetry
May 18, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. It is important to know what nerve damage you are referring to give you accurate advice
I have had a lot of success with patients with various facial asymmetries notably post facial palsy or mini-strokes. Fillers and Botox in combination can help to balance the face in very specific situations such as loss of volume to part of the lip, improve cheek definition on one side of the face, reduce the strong muscle pull of the active side of the face against…

Results post abdominoplasty
Jan 23, 2019
Hi and thanks for your queries. It’s disappointing that you are not happy with your results so far. Results following abdominoplasty (TT) can vary and depend upon the original indication for surgery – eg post pregnancy or post massive weight loss. Understanding what you looked like prior to surgery and how much of a difference you have had following your surgery would be useful.
Redundant skin laterally is fairly common following abdominoplasty and if it’s causing some distress, I would…

Nasolabial crease
Jan 15, 2019
Hi, thanks for your question. HA dermal fillers if placed correctly are a subtle and successful way to reduce the depth of the NL crease. From your photos you do have mild creases that could benefit from a course of filler. The best course of action is to consult a trained Plastic Surgeon to discuss technique and volumes with you. I usually start with a 1ml vial for NL creases but this will of course depend upon the product used and your individual requirements. All the best.
When can I start showering after tummy tuck? Nurse says I can’t.
Showering following abdominoplasty
Jan 6, 2019
Thanks for your question. The aim with showering advice, as well as general wound care advice, is to potentially reduce the risk of post operative infections and wound complications. Any advice that your surgeon has given regarding wound care in the first few weeks following surgery is important to follow. In my practice, as long as the drains are removed then light showering can commence. Up until that point, sponge washes are recommended.
All the best.
